Staff were, without exception, kind, thoughtful, considerate and helpful whatever the time of day.
The room -- and to an extent the whole hotel -- was design statement, and it was beautiful. However in some cases a decision was made to value design over usefulness, so our room (and presumably all the rooms) had no drawers. Not one. Underwear and socks had to go into the safe because I did not want to live out of a suitcase. Not a good move. Only one (stylish) armchair in a double room. An obsession with keeping the room at 25 degrees C., which made it too hot to sleep. All details that could have been considered before we even arrived. Staff were helpful, but it shouldn't have been necessary.
