The hotel Maia and what we thought

Good, but there was no mini refrigerator, which would be very useful in the hot climate of summer here. And the bathtub could’ve had a rubber mat or additional railings to improve safety as it is very easy to slip in those kinds of deep bathtubs. Now, the staff were very nice and very helpful and informative about the area and places to go. The rooms are very close together and with thin walls, and the people next-door were quite noisy late at night. And the showerhead was not securely fastened and could not be angled appropriately. However, the hotel was overall good and very well situated with easy access to the Alhambra and downtown.

Was hard to park the car as we needed to do this about 15 min walk from the door, no real drop off area to park and used the cabbie line, got the look but they never asked me to move but it seams normal in Spain just to stop anywhere and do what you need as long as your quick. Hotel was in the center of everything we wanted to see. Book well in advance for the palace museum that we never got to see but the grounds outside were still fantastic.

The location was perfect! Central to everything. We were easily able to walk to Alhambra, the Cathedral, restaurants and everywhere else we wanted to explore. Room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful! We arrived very early and they kindly stored our luggage while we ate and explored until our room was ready.
