Staff are very hospitable & helpful, especially Julie, who offers many good suggestions and immediate help. Spectacular lakeview on 9th floor, but a bit noisy under the rooftop bar. The bathroom needs more cleaning, small flies from the sink and shower.

This was our first hotel we stayed in during our Vietnam trip. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating and nice - they felt like family. We loved the location - close to Hoan Kiem Lake and on a street where we felt like locals. Loved the chairs and table on the porch where you could sit and watch the street life (we are 6 in our family so great for when we waited for someone to get ready). The small rooftop has a great view of the lake. Just a heads up about Vietnam - you never flush toilet paper - and you pay for your hotel room upon arrival - not when you check out. If you want a real Hanoi experience with an incredible friendly hotel staff- pick this hotel. The rooms vary - we had a smaller room with not a street view - made it a bit dark but at the same time quiet.

The staff at the hotel are the best I have ever come across. They are truly proud of their hotel and do everything they can to ensure you have the best experience possible - and all without the expectation of a tip. Truly exceptional. The location is right in the heart of old town so most everything is walkable. Grace organized tickets for us to the New Year’s Eve celebration on the rooftop, and we had an incredible view of the fireworks. We are highly recommend the hotel.

This is a wonderful place to stay while in Hanoi. It’s located at the heart of the Old Quarter, with a rooftop bar overlooking the lake, and a jacuzzi. The best think about this place is their amazing service. Anna was so helpful to me suggesting cafes to visit and where to find the best Pho. All of the people who work at this hotel are so kind. This is a place I go back to over and over again!

This was my second stay at Lucien and it was another great experience. The hotel staff are truly amazing and make your stay easy and relaxing. The hotel is conveniently located in the old quarter and it's extremely easy to explore so many things. Very satisfied with everything the hotel has to offer.

We stayed overnight and the rooms were not that clean. We feedback to the staff on the cleanliness issue and when returned later for a 2 night stay, the conditions of the rooms were much better.
