Service was average can’t complain about the staff. The room wasn’t the most comfortable however, the bed & pillows aren’t great so had a really bad sleep every night. The air vent in the bathroom was constantly on so made a terrible noise.

Standards arent as good now. The nighttime reception staff did not speak very good English, so check in was a painful experience. Also £16.95 for a buffet breakfast is a crime!

Air conditioning centrally controlled so went off every night. Couldn’t open window as far too noisy. No hairdryer in the room, not acceptable for a 4* hotel. Rang reception to get one but they wouldn’t answer the phone, had to go downstairs to see them.

A little disappointed this time

I’ve stayed here a couple of times before and was impressed. The hotel is in a great location for Canal Street/ Deansgate / Piccadilly. I must admit to being less than sold on this visit. The staff were lovely as always, but room servicing was not to the standard I’ve encountered before. One day our coffee supplies were not replenished and the bed was untouched. Then another day the room wasn’t serviced at all. Disappointing to say the least. One call to reception brought fresh towels and coffee supplies but I wouldn’t expect to have to ask for this. In addition the quality of the bathroom supplies were far from the standard expected. Better buy your own rolls!!!! Guess all minor things, but just a few bugbears this visit.

Mixed quality rooms

Disappointed that I booked two rooms - same standard /price for each - but the rooms /facilities were different . Larger bed /nespresso machine/ nice toiletries and body lotion in one and nothing similar in the other . Felt a bit awkward with our travelling companions

Manchester staple

Really convenient location, large clean comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Nice bar area with great breakfast. Parking close by with a reduced cost through the hotel. Usually try to stay here when visiting Manchester

Nice two night stay

Overall, a great hassle free stay at the Maldron. Helpful staff who were friendly and accomodating. Upgraded to a better room, and theŕe was an evening meal option, three courses for £23.00 each. The food was delicious and service great The upgraded room had a larger bed, and nice dresing gowns. Best of all was bed which was very comfy. We will definitely return to the Maldron when in Manchester.

Great location, room was spotless, staff friendly & efficient. A little noise from passing trains (7th floor room) but didn’t affect my sleep. Didn’t have breakfast but fellow travellers said it was decent & not over priced. Will book again.
