Room and staff and services excellent however the fire alarm went off twice in the night due to someone smoking in the room and therefore had a very bad nights sleep … reception advised us the following morning that there had been a fault with it however we were told differently that someone had been smoking when we called in the middle of the night …just hope that they were dealt with in the correct way as I’m unsure how many guests were affected due to this … I did report to reception after my stay but as yet no contact made to me by anyone. Might make me consider booking elsewhere in the future as this is my third stay now and was somewhat affected by it.

I chose Maldron Hotel Manchester because I have stayed several times at Maldron Hotel Finsbury Park in London, which is one of my favourite hotels in the city, particularly for comfort and value for money. On that basis, I did not consider alternative hotels for my Manchester stay. Unfortunately, the experience fell well below my expectations. While the staff were polite and helpful, the cleanliness of both the room and the hallways was inconsistent. Even after servicing, the floor did not appear properly cleaned, and there was an unpleasant odour from the pillows and duvet (the bed linen itself appeared clean). In addition, there was significant noise from nearby rooms; the doors seem to shut heavily and, unless guests are careful, they slam, which made it difficult to fall asleep. Overall, although I would happily stay again at Maldron Finsbury Park, I would not choose Maldron Manchester in the future. The variation in standards between the two hotels was surprising.

Paid premium rate for average room. Tea tray was poor as were the toiletries. Bedding was poor, quilt did not fit bed or cover. Staff very inexperienced and obviously don't like working there as were quite miserable. Was clean and great location but not worth the 'executive ' price that was charged at all.

Outstanding. Our room was upgrade for FREE to a much nicer one. My partner was feeling quite sick in the morning due to a health condition and they let us check out an hour later giving us more time to pack. So considerate. Our tv wasn’t working and the manager came in our rooms and fixed it personally. Friendly staff, fantastic full continental breakfast and English breakfast buffet. Amazing price. We will be staying here again very soon!
