Very central and close to Lime Street station. Room was very dated and in need of a paint. Found the room very cold and had no heater. Very expensive and much more expensive than normal due to the Bruce Springsteen concert that night. Not good value for money as over £210 for one night.

We really liked our stay at The Adelphie perfect for the concert we were attending at Anfield Stadium our room was spacious clean and beds comfy .

We were left with little choice when having to book this accommodation after being told our previous one was no longer a hotel. Upon arriving here we were in a que of at least 40 people leading out of the reception. This then caused checking in, to take over 30 minutes even with the online check in. The rooms were poorly maintained with wallpaper hanging off the ceiling, a dirty sink and walls. Definitely not worthy of the £220 price tag

Room was a good size, bathroom not very clean. Leaking sink tap, cold water not working in bath/shower. Main bedroom light not working, only one lamp working. Fast track for “already checked in” took 30 minutes. Would have been quicker to use main reception

Very poor experience. Ridiculously overpriced. Budget hotel at best. Very poor check-in experience; took 1.5 hours to check-in. Hotel must have known they were maxed out for a Bruce Springsteen concert yet seemed well understaffed and unprepared for the volume of guests

I would never stay ar the Adelphi again, nor would I recommend. The worst hotel I have ever stayed in. We complained about our room which was old and dirty, the bathroom was worse than some public toilets I've been in, I didnt even want to touch the light cord in the bathroom, how is this hotel allowed to continue operating. Reception were not phased when I complained (I think they are used to it)and gave me keys to two other rooms to look at, which was helpful, we picked the best of the three which at least had a better bathroom, but the floor was still dirty, the taps didn't work properly, the shower only worked hot or cold, the bath badly stained... The windows in the bedroom don't close, tv didnt work , damp ceiling, broken curtains... the list goes on. I have photos that I would love to share.

Was asked to check-in online prior to arriving. Had to queue still just to pay for the city tax. When we got to our room, there was a stale water smell lingering. Only 1 window would slightly open to get fresh air in and let the smell out. We had to ask for more pillows but was given a pillow and cushion (with no cover on) . Cleanliness was fine jist the hotel in general needs a lot of tlc. We wouldn't go back.

There was black mould on the windows of my room and the room was grimy and dusty. I had dinner and breakfast once. The dinner was soggy and tasteless; breakfast was cold and overcooked.

Stayed loads of times here. Not been for a while however due to a cold night in winter when no heating on. The negatives from someone who loves the hotels fading old world grandeur. This visit. Builders in with constant banging In afternoon,stopped about 5 started at 08:15 again. No mirror in bathroom not Great for shaving! Bedroom window wouldn’t open. Quite a warm night too, I literally emptied a local reservoir to get some warm water in shower. What’s the point of check-in on line when you have to join the normal queue ?? Would have asked for another room if we had stayed more than 1 night. Still love the building tho.

The Adelphi used to be one of the better-known hotels in the country and had a certain kudos attached to staying there. Sadly, that is no longer the case. When I arrived for a stay of one night, I was met by a queue at the reception which circled the entire lobby and snaked out onto the street. I would guess there were at least 200 people waiting for service. It took me one and a quarter hours before I could reach the reception desk. Like many others, I was given a room on the second floor. Unfortunately, the lift was programmed not to accept requests to stop at the second floor so I had to go to the third floor and walk down. In addition, there was a major renovation going on – about which nothing had previously been mentioned – which meant I had to navigate a fairly dirty and dusty corridor where work was taking place before reaching my room. The room itself was average, quite spacious, and clean but the separate bathroom had obviously been recently renovated and this tended to show up how jaded and faded the remainder of the premises were. That having been said, the bathroom door had not been replaced and appeared rotten at the bottom. I could make a number of other points but, in summary, I would be highly unlikely to stay here again.
