I had a short stay here and found the team to be friendly and helpful. The hotel was tired in various areas, but that did not change that it was comfortable and clean.

OK but very noisy

Overall, an OK stay. However, the hotel is directly over some nightclubs and the noise and the shaking kept me and others awake until 3:30/4:00 AM.

All in all the hotel catered for all our needs, although being in a very lively area, we stayed on the 7th floor and managed to get a good nights sleep with very little noise heard from our room. The hotel is close to plenty of restaurants and bars, and is within 10mins walking distance of the shops and bullring. The staff we interacted with were very friendly and approachable.

Great service at check in. Clean room with good tea and coffee facilities. The buffet breakfast was great. There was a good selection of cooked food items. The coffee was lovely too. Location wise, the hotel is well situated and about a 15 minute walk from Birmingham New Street train station. The hotel is pretty close to the library, bars and a few of restaurants. There is also a Five Guys about 5 minutes away. If you need a Sainsbury’s local or a Tesco local they are also within a 5 minute walk away too.

Everything was great apart from breakfast. I’ve never seen a more badly run operation. Not sure if you were understaffed or if it was poor management Either way there were no clean tables and no mugs or glasses. The restaurant literally looked like a bomb site. Zero stars for that.

The hotel is located on broad street so very useful for weekend party goers, having said that we felt comfortable as a family to stay here. They have a separate hotel car park but do not give any discount for people staying in the hotel which for me is a big let down. I am not saying it should be free but a discount should be given for parking. The facilities are acceptable. We were not re filled any coffee pods or milk for the second night. The lounge is a nice place to unwind. Staff were variable from friendly to ‘just doing the job’. It’s a good property but extra money you pay for a better experience is lacking.

The room was adequate not desperately clean, a drink had been spilt down the wall by previous hotel guests, which a damp cloth would have removed but cleaners obviously failed to notice. Dust on the sockets by the mirror. Limited storage, no coats hooks, no drawers … not great for a family of 4. Shower tray flooded the floor everytime you took a shower. On floor 3, could hear night club music thumping until the early hours. Poor layout at breakfast. Only 3 lifts were in order, 1 smallish one & 2 slightly larger ones, had to wait forever for a lift.

Excellent but bathroom a little tired

Fab hotel - reception team welcoming, easy check-in, room had a large comfortable bed and well appointed with decent coffee machine etc. We have stayed here before and it has everything we need. Slightly rundown bathroom round the floor and door edges - peeling paint and it looked a bit grey and not sparkling clean round the shower tray. Bar was great for a few nightcaps and it feels a comfortable hotel to spend time in.

Really lovely hotel, staff were really nice and friendly. Beautiful lobby area filled with lots of fresh flowers. Stayed here for the Ozzy/ Black Sabbath gig so had a great mix of people. From other Ozzy fans and lots of people dressed to the nines for a cocktail party. Room was nice and clean and beds were comfy. Would definately stay here again.
