Reception staff is efficient and respectful. I stayed for 2 nights with breakfast, the food is worth the money. The room is clean, I slept comfortably. I forgot to bring my runners shoes so I missed the gym.

We had a great stay! The hotel is very clean, and the rooms are spacious. Breakfast was also excellent. One thing to note is the wait time for the lifts, especially around checkout (11am). Even though there are four large lifts, it can take a while—so it’s best to allow some extra time or check out a little earlier.

Hi I booked this hotel as I stayed there with my family and service was excellent also the parking was free. This time I went with my friends and recommended this hotel but the service was not good the rooms didn’t even have robes or slippers also the Netflix was not working and also had to pay for parking. Also wasn’t pleased with their service as asked for a late checkout only by an hour but they wanted to charge extra £10.

Shame it’s wasn’t as good as before

Toilets by the restaurant were not clean and had no handwash, this was the same the next morning even after alerting the reception staff. We stayed 2 nights and both nights we had to call reception to ask them to get the next door people to turn their music off in the early hours. We also had to argue with the house keeping to get more towels and water as the room was set up for 2 people but we had booked for 3 people.

Rude manager

Hotel was lovely and most of the staff were helpful and friendly. Room was clean and had what was needed with the exception of the TV which was broken when we arrived. The TV had no picture so we called reception straight away. They sent someone after over half an hour wait who didnt look at it, said we could move rooms or wait until maintenence came the following day to fix or replace it. We went out the following morning but when we got back, no-one had even been to look at it. I rang reception again and they apologised and said they would speak to the manager and ring me back. After waiting for an hour, we were ready to go out so went to reception and asked again about the TV. The manager was called who straight away went on the defensive claiming he had called the room twice and we hadn't answered. He was rude and defensive and said the TV couldnt be fixed or replaced (no one had even looked at it to try) and the only choice was to move rooms. We only had one night left so didnt want to move. If we had been told in the first place that they wouldnt even bother to try and fix or replace the TV, we would have moved the day before. The manager's rudeness spoiled our stay

Reasonable option near canal basin

Reasonable chain hotel in Birmingham's historic canal/party district (take your pick). On-site parking was convenient but pricey. Clean rooms. Simple breakfast options but crowded, chaotic dining room. OK for a stay near central Birmingham.
