Comfortable stay

Very spotless clean, comfortable but dated decor and furniture in the room. I think looking at photos on the website other rooms have been more recently revamped. Attention to detail could be better, when I arrived in the room the curtains in the room were shut which I found odd. It was also hard to know if the water in the room was complimentary. As it was with a price list but nothing else on the list was in the room? I had a comfortable stay. Air-con worked well and I found the room to be a great size and I appreciated having a desk.

We paid for a room but received poor, if minimal housekeeping services. My daughters sunglasses were stolen from her make up bag in bathroom and then we were challenged by staff and management ‘if we were sure we lost or even brought them’. I was offended in the end. We filed a police report with Scotland Yard. They replied stating that ‘we had a valid case’. We found the situation belittling and disrespectful. In fact our room was so loud, that we were awoke at 6am every morning with the demarcate services emptying bottles. For 2.5 hours. In general, it was an awful hotel experience.

- Bog standard room, at best - Only 1 chair in room - No hair dryer receptacle in bathroom - Tub sits dangerously high; I lost my balance and almost fell backwards out of the tub. It could have been a fatal fall. - Inadequate shower enclosure. Water goes over everything unless you are super careful to a) angle the shower head towards the wall or find a sweet spot in the water pressure to keep it from saturating most of the bathroom. - Loved the soft water, the anti-fog mirror, and the USB options - Bed had only a duvet cover that was really hot at night. To make matters worse... - The thermostat was non-functional. I even studied the manual, but it was impossible to follow. Room mostly stayed around room temp. - The toilet paper cylinder was broken, but housekeeping wouldn't replace it. - Gross pipe on the side of commode. I've done a lot of plumbing and don't recall seeing that before. - There is a "plugged" hole in the bathroom sink. The plug just pops out easily, and is gross. - No children's items on the room service menu. - Ugly views outside the window In conclusion, I won’t be staying at a Hilton again. These are just too many annoying and outright dangerous things to trust Hilton again. Poor value.

Very clean in a fairly convenient area. I found the layout a bit of a maze compared to other hotels but it only took a few tries to find the room each time we returned from an outing. Staff were very polite and helpful.

This hotel is a 2 star at best. Hilton should be ashamed. The staff are excellent though. Ancient room decor with shabby carpeting, shabby curtains, shabby bathroom, poor in room amenities, noisy. We stayed there because we had to, but won’t be going back soon. So either lower the price or renovate.

PAKRING IS NOT FREE. That ruined the whole trip really and made us check out after only one night. Basically felt scammed after paying £250 for two nights and then £80 on top for parking. Not knowing or them ever mentioning that parking was not free. Didn’t feel like a 4 star restaurant. Bathrooms were really bad. The bath didn’t even keep the water in. Everytime you had a shower, there would be a pool outside. No shops on the high street that are worth. Would not recommend at all.

Misleading information regarding Parking

My stay was really good customer service was excellent ,rooms clean ,onky teribbke issue was the misleading information regarding free parking ,i was billed 40 quids for 24 hours because it was operated. Y an 3rd party company.I really didnt had any issue paying but this information needs to be updated on the website so that customers will be aware.
