I’d stayed here before. This time it was for the athletics in Stratford. As usual, I was shown to a table for breakfast. All the staff were very polite and they put out a tray with glasses and two jugs of water onto a table, as one of the days was very hot. The SL4 bus goes past the hotel to Canary Wharf. So, I was able to get it, though the TfL (Transport for London) had closed the DLR line to Stratford which made it a bit awkward for me.

Happy to have stayed here.

My family and I used two rooms. The three nights we stayed here were wonderful. The breakfast was terrific. So good. So many choices. Everyone in my group could find things to their liking and it was served in a beautiful room. The beds were comfortable. The window opened really wide which was helpful since when we were there it was very hot. Each room had a fan that really worked well. Bathrooms were on the smaller side but were more than adequate and were very clean and updated. The staff were very helpful and when I needed a clothes washer/drier late in the evening they were very accommodating about helping me. I am very glad we stayed here as part of our travels in England.

I liked the location, handy for local shops, but nice open views over the heath and access to Greenwich Park. Only downside was a hot couple of days and no a/c in the room.

Quaint little hotel, perfectly serviceable single room. Is it flashy? No. But the rooms and general site were very clean and the staff were exceptional. Very good breakfast in a lovely bright dining room with windows out onto the garden. Excellent dining options nearby and easy to get into Canary Wharf. Will stay again

Nice rooms (although always stay in the quiet new ones in the back, facing the garden if possible), brand new bathrooms, great breakfast and nice large bar and games area. Biggest problem is the lack of air conditioning which in these much hotter summers is a big issue.

Good stay but with some issues

My wife and I stayed for two nights. Our room was large and comfortable. Although the general cleanliness of the room was good, the room looked tired and slightly shabby. Chair arms were worn and had ingrained marks on them. Stains on the carpet and a large hole in the net curtain. Whilst these did not spoil our stay they were disappointing. However, the service from all the staff we dealt with was excellent, polite, helpful and smiling. Despite the issues mentioned we would stay again.

Have stayed here many times and have always had a great stay. This time it was not the case, given a tiny room which was supposed to be a double room. The room had one bedside cabinet, one light above the bed and a tiny bathroom. The shower was above the bath and it was a high step to get into the bath to have a shower, also do not like shower curtains. The view from the room was terrible, all you could see was pigeon netting. This is the worst room we have stayed in.

Excellent breakfast. Staff especially Sharma was very accommodating and took care of our breakfast early in the morning. We requested if possible to have early breakfast since we have to leave at 6 am to catch our Expat Explore Bus/Coach Tour. Sure enough breakfast was prepared for us in the lobby at 5:30 am. Highly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful hotel, nice space with a home town appeal. Only negative point was that the room did not have air conditioning making the stay a bit uncomfortable during the summer.
