Toilet in room wouldn’t flush properly. Had maintenance check it. Still didn’t work properly. Had maintenance check again. Asked to change rooms. Was moved after second night and the new room was better. Location is nearby so many things - was great for that. Room itself was just OK.

The location was great. The staff was very accommodating. The room was spacious and comfortable. Having the filtered water bottles available on the floor was a nice extra.

The Grand is overpriced for the quality of the hotel room provided. We stayed in a Standard room and it was small and worn down. We stayed also at a nearby hotel for about the same price, and that hotel, Horseguard, was twice the size and was of higher quality. The staff service was also by far more superior. I’ll never stay at the Grand again.

The room was not as pictured on the booking site. Room was VERY dated and dirty. Dust on all surfaces grout in shower was filthy and toilet did not flush properly. Carpet floor through out was dirty. We had stayed here for 2 nights as an in between for travel otherwise if this was any longer we would have gone to another hotel. Check in process is all self serve, the receptionist was very kind and helpful with helping us get booked in. Just a shame about the room

The perfect location for city-lovers who want to be in the heart of the action! Beautiful lobby and comfortable, well-appointed rooms, larger than you might expect in an affordable location in London. Our room on a high floor was quiet, but outside you are right in Trafalgar Square, steps from Charing Cross station and the National Gallery art museum. Air conditioning was lovely during a hot spell; bathroom and shower were modern and clean. For history lovers, the 18th century is well preserved on nearby Craven Street, including the only extant home of Benjamin Franklin. It's a short walk to the Parliament buildings and many other key sites. No breakfast included but many choices just steps from the hotel. Be prepared for crowds and traffic outside and take any typical precautions to be streetwise against someone who might want to pick your pocket. Generally very safe, just bustling with tourists, cabs, bikes and scooters.

Old Victorian style hotel inside and out. Easy check in and check out. Great amenities including coffee in morning. Room spacious with pull out couch and sink area with coffe machine, plates, silver ware etc. Hotel lobby was clean and style had London feel. Location was AMAZING. Walkable distance to all ares including Buckingham Palace, Westminster, Eye, and theaters. Subway and other public transportation close by. Great service from all staff. Highly recommend this hotel if you are planning stay in heart of London

The location was very nice, walkable to shopping, dining, and tourist spots. The rooms for The Grand are below ground, so no view. But it was quiet and the staff was friendly. The restaurant was excellent, we ate there twice.

I booked two rooms for my family of 5 adults and the one room was perfect. The room I stayed in, was a bit touch and go in terms of temperature, either way too hot or way too cold. The pull out could be better but after a long full day of exploring London, it was a good place to rest. Breakfast was wonderful, it would have been nicer if there was a spot to get some late night snacks as we were returning to the hotel late and both restaurants and surrounding were already closed for the evening :0 other than that, it was a great stay and experience!

Rooms are old and tired with poor air circulation and windows that were basically inoperable and broken (glass). The beds are old and lumpy like sleeping on a sack of potatoes. There is no bath tub and bathroom is small poorly fitted and a shower that spills water onto the floor. Room cleaning had to be reported to management. Room had strange smell that was not resolved. Room noisy as only way to ventilate room was to prop the window open onto busy street below. The lobby was impressive but this was not reflected in the room provided.
