Really it all reduces to location. Thought we were sacrificing some amenities like TV and windows for the price and location of the hotel, but it was quickly reduced to location because you soon learn they charge you extra for everything other than your room. Logical things like early check-in or late check-out I can understand. But when you arrive early and you ask for the hotel to hold your bag until it’s check-in time, and you then find out that they charge you 15 pound for each bag you have… and the total for your bags is more expensive than paying for the 40 pound early check-in fee. Or even asking for the late check-out and have 2 fee depending on the time you want to check out: overstaying your check out time for 2 hours was 50 pounds and, for 4 hours, 80 pounds!!! You soon learn that the booking fee was cheaper for a reason. Regarding cleanliness and staff services, I can only say that it’s not terrible but I can assure you that it is lackluster. So, my recomendation is to those who want to be at the center of london within a few steps away from the tube or walking distance from the toruist things: this is the place for you! If your looking for quality service or save your buck with cheaper quality hotels, avoid Zedwell at all costs. Go further away and pay for a place in cheaper districts.

Bare bones hotel

When we arrived, they assigned us the wrong rooms. The service was helpful in getting us in the original reserved rooms. The rooms are very small, no hair dryer, no safe, beds are low to the ground. It’s is not very accessible, often having to walk up or down sets of stairs to get to your room. They charge an extra fee to hold your luggage, £15 per bag/suitcase! The best thing about this hotel is the helpful staff. The location is also great.

Fine for a night or two, good location and price

Room upgraded free of charge but from a double to three singles so ended up having to push them together. Room was functional and good price for central location for one night. Easy to hear noise in the corridors when inside the room, bathroom sink hadn't been cleaned and some mould on ceiling above the shower. Beds too soft for me but I appreciate it's a personal preference. No conditioner provided.

The location is convenient and all the staffs are outstanding. The only thing to recommend is the lack of personal equipment like the hair dryer and TV. Other than that, I will recommend this location to others.

This hotel is in a great location right by the Piccadilly tube station, minutes from the theatre district. However, we booked a twin cocoon room and paid top money and were given an accessible room which was basically a dark box with two single beds, with literally nothing else! And nothing like the pictures! We did complain to the manager who was very good about it and compensated us, but beware if you do need an accessible room, prepare for it to be sub standard to rooms for able bodied people! Poor show Zedwell!

Great location

We checked in early which was 40£ extra, no big deal in itself but the room was not clean. We let them know and they said they were gonna send someone to clean but the problem areas were the same when we got back (sink, bin in bathroom, dust on metals in bathroom and hair in the corner of shower). Next morning we went to speak with reception again to notify them and met (I think) the manager. He promised to send someone again to clean and offered us free coffe and croissants for the inconvinience + a late checkout without extra cost. We were very happy with that solution and came back to a clean room later that day. All in all a very well located hotel with minimal noise from the rooms around and no noise from the outside since there were no windows. The air was surprisingly fresh and we didn't miss the windows at all. Staff was friendly as well. We will definitely book there again next time we're in London
