Lovely hotel and great service! You can buy cocktails 2 for £15 on the vouchers which are fairly good value. Breakfast was amazing and varied with gluten free options too! Only issue was having to get two lifts and navigate labyrinthine corridors to get to room on 7th floor.

I had a very nice stay here last year and so recommended it to our reiss who we were meeting also. Parking was a nightmare due to road closures for the Remembrance Day parade the following day, I called the hotel but they were no help on alternative parking. Breakfast was poor - we went at 9am and things had run out and were not being replaced, I asked the Maitre D for more geeek yoghurt which never arrived, the cooked breakfast was cold and there was no scrambled egg. We both received the check in email on the following evening! Room was lovely and comfy, clean and very quiet but I was disappointed by the service.

From the minute you step in to the Clayton you know it’s going to be good. The foyer is bright with a great vibe. The staff are very polite and helpful. But above all the whole establishment is immaculate. The rooms are a good size, very comfortable bed with quality linen. The en suite is mega clean and tidy. All in all you just can’t fault the place.

Very clean and great amenities. The breakfast was disappointing, clearly very busy and had to wait for more food to come out to the buffet and tea bags. The hosts were lovely and working very hard to get things moving.

The bedrooms were spacious and very clean. The pillows did have a damp odour to them which wasn’t great. Beds are always a very personal choice but we found them uncomfortable. Breakfast was really good and we also had a sandwich in the bar one evening which was nice enough We had limited interaction with staff due to remote check in and check out but they seemed professional and friendly. Location was excellent for the city centre and the added security of needing to swipe room cards to get into the stairwell or to use the lift felt really reassuring. Overall, it was a nice well kept hotel. It served our needs fine but could have been slightly more comfortable..

A charming hotel that is centrally located. A good variety of food products at breakfast. The service from the waiting team is fantastic. We stayed in the Executive King room. Bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had a lovely shower and had good quality towels. People on the Reception desk were very helpful, allowing us to leave our luggage with them before we departed. Self check in and check out was easy and straightforward. Would return to the Clayton Hotel.

The location of the hotel is great, the staff a friendly. The room could have been cleaner and there were some stains on the bed toppers. The shower was intermittently only a trickle (8am so busy times) but I did not have this issue on a previous visit. I will visit one more time before deciding final verdict.
