Great shape for the age. So adorable, nothing fancy. They have firewood to purchase for a camp fire, which i needed more than another hotel room. Gorgeous location.

It was fine for camping at $30-100 a night, but we paid $300 plus a night due to tourist season. Can't do better pricing, but could probably stay in a very clean hotel for $400. It was musty and camper cabin like for a very high price.

I found the bed uncomfortable and the shower was well definitely not too great. Other than that, it was very rustic and cozy. I personally would not stay there again only because of the shower issue.

The first cabin was dirty and had all faucets leaking. There were old cobwebs and the pull out bed was unacceptable with a lot of dust and old dirt inside bed. The second cabin was a bit better. Still had dripping faucets, had to ask for an extension cord because you could not run the microwave or toaster oven without one. A definite lack of outlets. The front porch step is dangerous. Staff was helpful but we had to ask for a lot of necessities to make our stay okay for what was charged. If not much is included, then staff needs to communicate this before booking.

This was the only place with vacancy 2 weeks before our trip. It was also the most expensive of all our rooms, $250. We were in studio cabin #10. If you're looking for rustic & bare bones accommodations, this is your place. I was looking for a comfortable quiet room for a quality sleep after long day of travel. Good things: Clean Good wifi Small refrigerator with freezer Adequate lighting Screens on all the windows New laminate flooring throughout Partial kitchen (cook top, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker & coffee, electric water kettle) Hot water is scalding and instantaneous Cons: No shelves in the bathroom Bathroom door meets the door jam but doesn't close further No light in the shower No electrical outlets for CPAPs Bed is against the wall requiring 1 person to climb in-out via the bottom of the bed Furniture, including mattress, is worn out and needs replacing (unless you like rustic) Located on the highway and near the train tracks, thank goodness for earplugs The price was for 1 adult. Paid $40 extra for my husband Bottom line: if you don't want rustic (think of the Beverly Hilbillies before they moved to California), you need to go elsewhere.

A more affordable option near Banff

Selected these rustic chalets with kitchenette due to its proximity to Banff and for being more affordable than most other hotels around the region. We enjoyed the rustic feel of this chalet. Comfortable bed. Good kitchenette with full stove. Small shower but good water pressure. Quite clean overall and very friendly helpful staff

The Rundle Chalets served the purpose for us of having one last night outside of Banff before we flew home from Calgary. The exterior of the chalets appear a little run down but the inside has everything you need. The two bedrooms are both private. There is a small kitchen area with stove, refrigerator and microwave. We even watched some tv before bed. The property has a rustic feel but is clean and worked well for our family.

Cool little cabins, absolutely amazing views, cozy, easy to find and get in and around from. Cabins weren’t cleaned, lots of hair all over the shower, and holes in sheets. If you want that rustic cabin adventure worth the stay, if you are a person that needs super clean and proper, not the property for you.

Booked the cabin as it was the cheapest in the area. However next time will pay more for a better spot. The mattress was very cheap and worn out as were the pillows (we forgot to bring our own). Sofa was the same (run down and of poor quality). The shower head pressure could be used to cut glass and bathroom smelled like mildew (my wife’s input). I don’t think any money has been invested to make this place pleasant. I talked to a couple of other visitors and they had similar opinions. We are not wealthy fancy travellers but for the money this cabin was very disappointing. We won’t stay there again.
