I like the feel of “home away from home”. The area is safe, quiet and you wake up with a beautiful view of the Swiss Alps. Breakfast was very delicious and the staff were very kind and friendly. We arrive by car and parking was not a problem. Although, this is not on the main road, there is a walkable bus stop. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay in Brienz.

Though we had a little adventure when we arrived, we enjoyed our stay here immensely. The area was quiet and pastoral in some places though conveniently located not too far away from our areas of interest (Interloken, Grindelwald, Lauterbrunnen). The hotel itself was great and the staff fantastic. Kathleen was super responsive and kept our kids of 9 & 11 engaged and happy. They loved constructing from the toys in the little area by the dining hall. She also gave us helpful tips regarding where to go and what to see. The breakfast was fresh and authentic and prepared us for our day. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. The room keys were a delight as well. Thank you for a great time and for the great conversations.

Fantastic stay will visit again!!

A wonderful stay at hotel Alpenrose. We shall definitely visit again. The setting is idyllic, the hotel is comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was simple but nice. Only thing to be improved was the mattress (which may just not have been to our preference) and we would have preferred more pillows. Overall a lovely stay and highly recommended!!

The hotel and general area was very peaceful. The hospitality was great, and the staff made us feel right at home. The view from the hotel is amazing, being close to both the mountains and the lake. It was also very convenient to drive to beautiful cities, such as Bern, Thun, the local Brienz, and Grindelwald is also not too far. Certainly has a more cottage vibe, but it adds to the experience. Would 10/10 recommend for an authentic Swiss experience.

I wish I had an option for a zero-star rating for this hotel. They provided us with a broken folding bed for my five-year-old son. The dinner buffet was set up for another group party. Actually, the food was leftover. I say this is terrible.

This place is extremely clean you dont have to worry of the hygene. The staff are very kind. We had a short chat on the day when it rained and went to the caves which was also very nice to avoid the heavy rain.

The staff was amazing! This was the best place we stayed during our 10 day road trip through Europe. The breakfast was delicious and the little details made you feel special. we enjoyed our stay at this lovely hotel for 4 nights, very friendly staff, peaceful place with gorgeous view of the mountains, we had a car to travel around and was close to everywhere, 5 min to Brienze lake, 18 min to intarlaken and less than an hour drive to Luzern, bern, lauterbrunen, grinderwald. Spacious and very clean rooms, house keeping everyday, good breakfast.

This hotel is located in the most peaceful, beautiful valley. It is a real retreat! The staff members are very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is magnificent--variety, replenished, attentive staff. Parking is easy; rooms are spacious; soup & cocoa snacks are a bonus. Plus there are cute cow statues and a kugelweg (marble run) in the playground nearby.
