Very nice hotel. Middle of everything. Tram stations ( Aksaray and Laleli) are less than 5 minutes walking distance. Hotel Manager and his staff are all very friendly. I strongly recommend the Amethyst.

Booked for 2 nights but checked out next morning Close to transport that’s the only good thing. Dining area was nice. Breakfast standard nothing fancy. Single room was horrible small and no window view. Just a wall with a mural. Claustrophobic. Changed rooms, still small, horrible window view, back of some old rundown buildings. Couldn’t sleep bed was horrible. Check out next Morning booked another hotel. Asked for refund was refused, ( booking stated no refund). Asked to call taxi, was told to walk behind the hotel. Desk didn’t even bother to ask if I enjoyed my stay. Horrible service. No nice restaurant nearby, no tourist info offered. This hotel is good location for traders who go to Turkey to buy things not tourist. Won’t stay here again

Christmas Istanbul

From arriving at the hotel the staff were most hopeful. I had booked a single room, but it had a double bed. The room was immaculate and all things were provided such as a bathrobe and little things like toothbrush and toothpaste. I thought that the room was of a higher standard than other 4 stars I have stayed in Europe.
