Me and my friend had a really good stay here. The hotel is really clean and the room was traditional in a really charming way. Has all the facilities and resources expected of a modern hotel. Staff are helpful and the lobby area is nice and spacious. The location is really quiet which is good after having a long day exploring Istanbul. Also a short walk from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia. Grocery stores are also nearby but to reach the best areas and places to visit and eat in Istanbul you may have to travel a fair amount. Not as convenient as say Taksim or Galata area. Nonetheless a really good option for a stay in Istanbul, whoever it is you're with.

We had a great stay at the Armada. It's authentically Turkish (as compared to staying in an American-chain hotel). Super close to the top old town sights, Arasta Bazaar (much more manageable than the Grand Bazaar), restaurants and Sea of Marmara. Amazing breakfast spread and top floor views of the water and mosques.

The location is great because we’re basically a ~10 minute walk from the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Basilica Cistern, and Hagia Sophia. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean though could use some upgrades. Breakfast was a delight - a beautiful view of the Bosphorus whilst enjoying a Turkish breakfast during sunrise was an amazing experience. Overall, we enjoyed staying at the Armada and would visit again.

Safe and clean, including for a solo female traveler. Exceptional on cleanliness. Stunning rooftop view (less common to find) and delicious Turkish breakfast with a wide range of options (they are very prompt in packing it up at end of breakfast time so be sure to come on time). Easy access to pedestrian walkway along the water. Very close to historic sites, shops. Interior feels like a well kept old home or museum. Each room has unique design aspects like painted wood closet doors or separate sitting area. The staff take personal pride in excellent service and maintaining the hotel. The hotel suggested and booked a traditional hammam experience (that place was built in the 1400s), with transportation included in the price. Just outside the hotel are ancient city walls. I stopped as part of a long layover I gave myself, more to rest than do touristy things, but it is well suited to either. Would stay again.

This was certainly no 4 star hotel. The rooms were clean but the only aspect going for the hotel was certainly the location. As for the breakfast, it was certainly not the standard that I am used to when it comes to a buffet breakfast. Staff were friendly at reception and allowed for a late checkout and kept our luggage. There is a fish restaurant close to the hotel, avoid at all costs.
