Fabulous! I’ve never been disappointed yet in the many times I’ve stayed there. It’s always a memorable experience staying at Shanker Hotel. This is a beautiful hotel with a lot of history. Beautiful architecture and garden. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I’ve stayed here many times. It is my favorite hotel in Kathmandu! I highly recommend staying at Hotel Shankar, especially if it’s your first visit to Nepal. My stays at the hotel are always memorable!

This was an amazing place to stay...a former palace. It is elegant, beautiful, has spacious rooms with all the amenities, a wonderful restaurant with an impeccable menu at great prices, and pool. It is in a great and safe location, 5 mins from shops and main restaurants at a $2 cab ride away but peaceful where it is located.The breakfast buffet is delicious and varied. The massage was the best I've ever had anywhere in the world. The staff was extraordinary, helpful, &kind. I left significant money by mistake on the reception counter and was leaving in the cab, but staff from reception came running outside to bring me the money I had forgotten. That is beyond honest!
