"Arrived late and sign on very dark office door stated office closes at midnight and it was later than that. I assumed (incorrectly) that the phone number on office door was to be used while office was open. Concerned of how it would appear on security cameras that I would be loitering around a motel late at night and not wanting to ring someone’s number at about 1:30am, I chose to call the office in the morning and ask for a refund. Woman who answered said it was my fault I didn’t call the number and refused to refund our money. Thinking about this more, it would have been nice if it got close to the office closing time and they called me to ask if I was still coming and what to do when I got there. In addition, it would have been nice to have that late check in info sent to me in my confirmation email after booking. Instead, it stated on Expedia that their office was open/staffed 24/7. Which technically it is IF you’re instructed what to for late arrivals."
