Location is excellent. It’s less than 5 minutes walk from the pier when you arrive on the ferry. Check in was quick and easy, staff were very pleasant and there’s a lovely restaurant literally out the front (my bedroom window was close enough to the table that I could join in conversations) that sells the coldest beer. For a cheap room and a place to get your head down while exploring Phi Phi you can’t go wrong. The major downside for me is the lack of pool. Yes, I know, you don’t come to Phi Phi to spend your days at the pool. But, some of the activities such as trekking to viewpoint (especially in the afternoon) will leave you very hot and sweaty and probably a little tired. A nice cool dip in the pool would go down a treat. There are hotels in a similar price range that have a pool so something for you to consider. If you aren’t interested in a pool though and literally just want somewhere to get your head down, this place is clean and quiet, has a decent shower, safe, fridge etc and is in a fantastic location.
