We booked an Executive Club room for the perks of having the Executive Club Lounge and better room quality. The room had an unpleasant smell coming from the air conditioning. The room itself was a good size and looked out over the to the cruise terminal. However the bed was extremely hard (even though we like a firm mattress) and the decor was dated and had seen better days (especially the finishes in the bathroom). A coffee machine was provided however without any capsules (which they advertised as HK$20 each). The biggest con and negative was the Executive Club lounge. This was not a lounge, but a small cornered off area in the pub on the ground floor. During the day there were a few cans of soft drink in the fridge and a few leftover pastries from breakfast. We were told that between 5-8pm there was a cocktail hour with hot food, however when we went back and asked about the hot food, the member of staff walked us to the empty hot plates, then looked confused, went off to the kitchen before coming back to say no hot food. As for alcoholic drinks there were a couple of bottles of spirits and can of beer. It was very depressing. Breakfast the next morning was simple and lacking for an Executive Club (hard boiled eggs/beans/sausage), with bread to toast. The few small pastries were not fresh and had come out of packets. The jug of juice was long life concentrated juice. Tables weren’t cleared or cleaned from previous guests (no staff around). Upon checkout I complained abo

all the staff have been very nice and friendly, and especially helpful to those working in the luggage department / porters. I would be happy to stay there if I am on holiday in hong kong.

This is a 3* Hotel

Pros: The staff
Cons: Need to improve the bathroom, linen and breakfast quality. Location cannot be changed unfortunately
Location: Area is not nice. Lots of old/dodgy buildings. There are local restaurants offering seafood and two small but nice shopping malls at 10-15 mim
When I booked this hotel, the price was slightly cheaper than some other hotels with similar rating. The worst is its location. The area is not nice and the commuting to the Star Pier is about 35-45 min. To go to the nearest station, it takes about 10-15 min by taxi. If you don't mind taking buses and taxis to go to the different attractions, you could book in this hotel. The room is OK. But the bathroom and linen requires a change. My room view was awful towards a flyover and construction site. The breakfast was of poor quality and expensive. I decided to go out to Starbucks for breakfast in a nearby mall. The staff offer a very good service and are very gentle and helpful Overall I would rate this hotel as a 3* hotel

Meeting friends

I have been to this hotel several times, and most of my stay this time was again satisfactory. However, my first night was not spent in a non-smoking room despite being assured at Reception that it was! Fortunately I was able to get the room changed the next day. this second room was very much better in several other respects, and I also had good service thereafter from both the Reception staff and also at the ground floor restaurant. I will certainly hope to stay at the hotel again.
