The room was clean and comfortable, and we stayed as a group of four. Our stay was split across two separate date ranges with a two-day gap in between. During this time, we requested luggage storage for four suitcases, as each guest had one piece of luggage. The hotel policy allows storage of only two suitcases per room. It would be helpful if this policy were clearly stated on the hotel’s website in advance. The staff initially suggested consolidating four suitcases into two, which was not realistic. I explained that while a two-luggage limit may be reasonable for a standard two-person room, we were staying in a room for four people, with one suitcase per guest. Although the hotel did store all four pieces of luggage in the end, the experience highlighted some limitations that may be worth noting for guests with similar needs.

Staff attitude and customer service are excellent but that’s where it ends. Rooms in desperate need of renovation, toilet seat worn out due to age, stains on the underside of the seat, mould everywhere in shower ceiling and basin. Furnitures corners and edges all chipped, the office chair provided is ripped, blinds very dirty and stains on sheets. Cleaning team works on a quota and there is a chestnut shell from previous stay on the floor. The condition of the hotel is worse than a motel.

Room was clean and spacious, even more spacious than our other luxurious hotel. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Location was convenient, there was a lot to do at the mall and even outdoor playground. I would definitely come back and stay here next time!

The only positive about this hotel is the location. It’s positioned in the perfect spot is you want easy access to shopping mall and MTR station. The hotel itself is very dated. Our room had a strong smell of stale cigarettes which was not ideal for our 10 year old. The carpet had stains and the bathroom desperately needs an update. The staff were rude and unwelcoming and did not make us feel welcome at all. Every staff member we encountered was like this apart from the room cleaners who were pleasant enough to say hello and have a great day. I don’t even want to mention how bad breakfast was. The last time we stayed at this hotel it had one of the best buffet breakfasts. This time no buffet breakfast. And to end the TV in the room was from the 1990’s so if you want a nice luxury stay don’t stay here

Stayed there for 7 nights and was given a room on 17/F which is the highest floor for standard rooms except the club and executive floors above. Room was clean and housekeeping did a great job every day. The aircon in the room was quiet and the bed was relatively comfortable. However, the air in the room was very dry and the washroom did not include body lotion / cream as part of the amenities provided. I was a little bit disappointed as well that there wasn’t a small Nespresso machine or other simple capsule coffee machine available in the room — that’s a standard for most hotels these days. Overall, the hotel’s location is unbeatable, service was good, room was big and clean, and I would stay in Royal Plaza again if the opportunity arises.

We found some black stuff on bed sheet, not sure if they were bugs. The front desk sent people right away to change all sheets, pillow cases and blanket. Staff were polite and friendly. The room has no heat. The brought us a space heater.

Stayed for 5 nights. Our 1st time . Deluxe room was spacious and spotless. Unbeatable location . Next to MTR and busy upscale mall - MOKO. Close to local diners . Will definitely come back this hotel. Walkable to Ladies and Flower markets. Only concern was we were not able to sign up for the loyalty program because we were from Canada .
