A really nice hotel, great roof top bar and great restaurants too. I wish we booked a larger room as we were here for 5 days. I would definitely recommend this hotel. One for Expedia, yet again as a VIP no room under grade and there were other rooms available.

We recently concluded a wonderful stay at Nohga Hotel, and everything exceeded our expectations. The entire property is modern and impeccably clean. The rooms are thoughtfully designed and provide exceptional comfort. I highly recommend opting for the breakfast package, as it consistently offered delicious meals and excellent value. The staff were all incredibly friendly and accommodating, contributing to a pleasant experience. The restaurant and rooftop bar were exceptional, providing an amazing atmosphere along with outstanding food and beverages. In contrast, our dinner at Kosa at Ace Hotel was disappointing and did not meet the high standards set by Nohga. We cannot express enough how fantastic our stay was, and we will undoubtedly choose Nohga Hotel for our future visits to Kyoto. Thank you to the entire team at Nohga for making our stay memorable.

This was our favourite hotel in Japan. The rooms were very clean and the staff were very helpful. The amenities were fantastic. There’s a bakery on the lobby floor which serves great coffee and food. The breakfasts were the best so far as you’re able to choose a freshly cooked plate each day. The hotel is close proximity to Gion which is the best part of the city in my opinion. Would definitely recommend staying here

The Nohga is not a hotel, it’s an experience to live. The atmosphere is sophisticated. Tje Cico restaurant is one of the best in the world. And you have the best of Tokyo blocks away. Stay at the Nohga, best hotel in Japan by far.

Wonderful clean place in a convenient place. Although I love to venture to try out local cuisines, we ate a few nights at the hotel as my partner is vegan. The food was extremely delicious both on the rooftop as well as in the main restaurant.

Highly Recommended Kyoto Hotel

Hotel NOHGA is a fantastic hotel in a great location! The rooms are very large - especially by Japanese standards. The ambiance was modern and relaxing, the amenities were luxurious, and the staff was welcoming and attentive. We also enjoyed the food at the bakery and restaurant.

What an amazing hotel! The staff at Nohga was super nice and spoke perfect English (which made everything smooth for us). The rooms were super comfy and the restaurant, rooftop bar and cafe were THE BEST! Must book here you won't regret it.

Great spot for a couple!

Excellent hotel!! Highly recommended for couples that want to explore Kyoto. Within walking distance to most everything and the hotel is very clean and comfortable. Definitely check out the rooftop bar and restaurant.

Good hotel in good location but not for families

We had a good stay at this hotel although for Golden week, it seemed a bit overwhelmed (especially the breakfast). There were long lines with waiting times of about 15-20 mins for breakfast but the staff did a pretty good job handling it. It was a bit disappointing to see that they didn’t have high chairs for children so it doesn’t seem like this is a kid-friendly hotel. It is however well situated in between traditional places like Gion (about 15 mins walk) and the modern areas with all the shopping a short walk away. The rooms were very dark and the bathrooms were a bit interesting—the sink in the toilet room was tiny and there was no hands soap in there to wash your hands , not a big deal since you can go to the shower room and wash your hands but still a bit different. The beds were comfortable and the perfect height especially with children. The sofa in the room was not the most comfortable. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating, the cafe in the lobby had some nice treats. Don’t expect much of a view from the rooms. Overall I think it’s a good hotel for a couple or solo travelers but not so much for families.

Loved our stay here! Staff were friendly and attentive. The restaurant and roof top bar was fantastic! Only downfall was that the walls were a little thin, so could hear the TV next door and child crying (only for a short period of time)

The Best Hotel in Kyoto

This was the best hotel we stayed at in Japan. Very updated, modern and beautiful. We loved the bakery and coffee in the lobby. We loved the rooftop bar. About a 20 min walk from nice shops and restaurants and Nishika market. We would come back!

Great stay

My girlfriend and I stayed with our little son and had a perfect stay. The room was perfect, the staff was very nice and heldum and we loves the vibe at Nogha and often spent time just hanging out in the lobby with coffee and baked goods or on the roof top terrasse when we weren’t out exploring the city. We will definitely be coming back :)
