While the lobby and dining rooms have been remodeled, some areas, like the outside pool and outside balconies are in high need of repair. The grounds are beautiful. The rooms were musty smelling and no privacy. Our rooms looked out on to the grounds, but if we opened the blinds, everyone could see into our room and people could look right into our windows. Mattresses on the beds were worn on one side in both rooms. Nice restaurant and several pools as options were nice. Spa was very nice. Staff was good.

I stayed with my partner for a couple nights. The room had cracks in the sink, the floor, as well as a picture frame. It felt bland, lifeless and overpriced for the amenities and a place that lacked a complimentary breakfast. The pool area needs a lot of work. Also the basic spa stuff should be included in the resort fee

Staff was superb, room was subpar. Had a hole/water damage in the ceiling above the bed and the fan in the bathroom was inoperable. Room always felt musty and damp, possibility moldy due to no bathroom fan or ventilation. Turned air conditioning down super low to try to alleviate the dampness. Gave us a discount which didn't really seem sufficient, was expecting more given the hotel's reputation as one of the premier places to stay on Lake Geneva. Unfortunately I don't think we'll be going back.

We liked that the abbey has restaurants inside the the abbey but also a few local restaurants that you can walk to from the property. Having both an adult and kids pool is a great feature of the property . Also, the property was very walkable with the Geneva Lake shore path right off site . Once we parked the car we never had to get in again until we left to go home . Cool coffe shop onsite and nice ice cream shop within walking distance.
