Well-Run Breakfast

I was particularly impressed by the breakfast. While it’s not “world class”, it’s still very good for this level of stay at this price point. I thought the three gentlemen running it were extremely efficient about keeping all the food selections fully stocked and clearing the tables. That makes a huge difference in how enjoyable the experience is.

I purchased a room months in advance, paid it in full, and then was given a room that had no air conditioning. I know the hotel knew of this because there was already a fan in the room and the windows were left open. The windows had no screens therefore mosquitoes entered the room and were having a lovely time for the time I checked in. I immediately notified the front desk of the problem with the AC and they said that there was nothing they could do about it and that they could not give me a different room because they were sold out. I saw people entering the hotel after me that were being given rooms and I don't know why they got rooms with working AC and someone decided that for whatever reason I wasn't worthy of having what I paid for. I called the assistant manager twice leaving detailed messages and upon my third call he answered. He tried to tell me that I could have gone to a different hotel and because I "consumed" the room, therefore I still had to pay. It was very late in the evening, easily past 10:00 p.m. and they had me hostage, basically. What irritates me the most is that they knew the room was defective and sold it anyway at full price. That's some shady business practice. The next time I travel through LAX I will not be staying there. I strongly encourage anyone considering a stay there to think twice. All I wanted was a comfortable place to sleep for a few hours. Hard fail on Fairfield's part.

It was the end of a long vacation, numerous different hotels that were not very nice. It was the nicest sweetest hotel. Clean. Modern. Airport shuttle service on time and friendly considerate service. A wonderful stay.

Stayed at the hotel for a weekend for a special event and the room that they booked us into was not a good room. It had beat up furnishings in the suite that I had booked and no AC that was properly working and it was just the overall bad experience. Wasted a lot of time with contacting the front desk and trying to find a resolution for a better accommodating stay with multiple staff.

They have you sign a ‘no party contract’ but yet they let guest party and be noisy clear into the early morning. Old and outdated, dirty, no AC.

I liked everything. Delicious Breakfast, comfortable & clean Queen size beds & refrigerator in the room. Also coffee, tea, water & microwave in the lobby 24/7. And a bar. Good closet space & plenty of drawer space. Internet & printer & free WiFi. A Metro Bus right outside for transportation anywhere! Helpful & friendly staff. Free shuttle service to and from the Airport. Doesn’t have a dinner restaurant but has all kinds of available restaurants right outside their door. Very very convenient and affordable & enjoyable stay. I highly recommend this LA Fairfield hotel.

The room was clean & neat. The breakfast was not great. Everything is served in or on paper plates & cups. The atmosphere was like a cafeteria, hard to find a table to sit at. No kettle teabags or milk in room to make a cup of tea. You have to go down to the lobby to make a cup and sometimes there was no milk and staff couldn’t give me any. Not good for someone who enjoys their tea, not everyone drinks coffee.
