We received a parking ticket via mail which was issued while our vehicle was in the care of the hotel valet service. We contacted the hotel rep who told us we would need to contact the valet service personally and they would not be responsible for the charge. We sent an email to the valet service and have not yet received a response nor reimbursement.

The hotel has only 74 rooms and six floors with the rooftop deck bar Café. It feels very comfortable and is right next to campus. The front desk staff were mostly students and they were incredibly nice. I was impressed that they gave me a food credit for $15 each day that I was there and they also stocked the mini fridge with water and soda and even trail mix when I first arrived. There is a downstairs coffee shop at breakfast and lattes for the day. The hotel kept adding a new water each day at a good rate of $99

Such a great place to stay. Location is perfect! Close to the Union, lake, shopping and good eats. Easy walk to the capital. The interior of the hotel has a great cozy feel with so much attention paid to detail. From the coordinating fabrics, carpets and seating to the antique canoes used as lighting, this place is truly a perfect boutique hotel.

We have come to prefer staying at Graduate hotels in any town that has them, even if we have no business with the Universities they are associated with. The hotels are always clean, comfortable, and staffed by friendly students. Front desk staff went out of their way to recommend great places to eat as well as printing out something for me that I needed. Truly outstanding service. The decor is locally themed and unusual. Most places have a great coffee counter (Poindexters) to get your morning Joe and this one even had a rooftop bar. They are in the heart of a college campus, so not necessarily quiet, but the vibe is always lively and since it is in proximity to college kids, there are always a bunch of great and inexpensive dining options. This location in particular had an amazing array of things to do and places to get a great brat and some curds (Memorial Student Center is aces with views of the lake. Go to Der Rathskeller). The proximity to Lake Mendota and the Lakeshore Nature Preserve is fabulous. My only complaint is that the valet parking (pretty much the only available option) is a gouge, but the staff was lovely and you can get your car in and out as many times a day as you need. I would absolutely stay here again.

Beautiful hotel with great central location.

Super friendly and helpful staff. The place was impeccably clean. The John Hughes movie vibe was cool as well. We'll be back next time we're in Madison
