Staff were great and room was equally good with great views from the upper level. There are lots of sitting areas. While the swimming pool was not available, we were not planning to use this. The only slight difficulty was that there was no restaurant for an evening meal, we would have gone to the Yarra Glen pub but this was being renovated also.
Big rooms but old world shouldn’t mean dusty and tired. Needed a good clean up and refresh. Cochroaches were not a good addition either!

We were married at Chateau Yering 25 years ago and return regularly for a night's stay, which is always a delight. We love the rooms and the breakfast at Sweetwater Cafe, as well as the attentive staff. We always enjoy a game of backgammon in the Library too, but this time we couldn't get a drink at the bar at 7:30 pm as there were no staff onsite.
Loved the old world charm amazing that we had the oppotunity to stay somewhere thst was from another century nicely refurbishedand amazingly appointed to look original but luxury.staff were lovely down to earth food was great thanks for your hospitality
