It was a short stay and convenient for our location to a venue, but the room wasn't very clean, and it wasn't a quiet location. I woke up to the room next door making a lot of noise at 3 a.m. So unfortunately, not a restful sleep. I stay at a lot of places with my travels and was disappointed with this selection, especially for the price I paid.

It’s ridiculous that I payed $189 for a one night stay AHEAD of time so I wouldn’t be charged at the time of our stay yet when checking in they charged me AGAIN for $200 MORE that takes 3-5 business days to get credited back?! I get having a card on file in the event there are damages and even a SMALL fee but to charge somebody AGAIN that much is insane and shouldn’t be allowed. You don’t know someone’s financial situation and that could really affect them negatively. Also, the lighting situation in the room was incredibly annoying. Only 2 switches that are right by the door. You can’t just turn on the bathroom (toilet/shower room) without turning that whole area on. I also hated the sliding bathroom door. We won’t be booking with an Aloft hotel again.

The shade in the room was broken and wouldn’t role down, toilet leaked water. Went doorstairs for breakfast at 8am and one of the tables had 4 empty beer cans sitting on the table from the night before. This is the first negative review I have ever written. Very disappointing.

Overall, the hotel was nicely appointed and in a pretty ideal location downtown walkable to many restaurants, shops, and bars. Affordable, clean, spacious rooms, nicely kept up lobby area, friendly staff, but our big gripe is the music loudly playing into the wee hours of the morning, stopping for a few hours, and then picking up again at the crack of dawn, making sleep all but impossible. We could never figure out where it was coming from, but suspect it was in the hotel somewhere and that they are aware of it given that there were signs in the room that read “city keeping you awake at night?” and the fact that they offered complimentary ear plugs and a white noise machine. Probably wouldn’t choose again due to the noise factor.

It was so noisy that we left after the first night and moved to a different hotel. We were unable to get a refund but still purchased a different hotel because we didn't sleep at all. And on top of no sleep we had to pay $45 a day for parking. If you want to sleep do not stay here.
