A Holiday Home with breathtaking Sea View in the heart of the Old Historic Centre of Monopoli.

Solglime cherishes a story long 200 years. If the ancient stones of the building could talk, they would enlighten us with story of the fascinating life from the olden times of Monopoli, accompanied by the delicate sounds of the ocean .

This gorgeous apartment is in fact situated in a characteristic alley of the Old town of Monopoli, a few steps away from the Church of the Purgatory, and just 50 meters from beautiful small city beaches of sand and rocks also referred to as “calette”.

In this holiday home in Puglia, the past harmoniously coexists with the present, making the most of the commodity and functionality of being here. The apartment has been finely furnished and accessorized in a modern comforting way, the antique and thick walls guarantee cool temperatures during hot summer days, and the terrace, with a breathtaking sea view on the top floor offers guests a fantastic outlook on the old squares of the town.

Solglime develops on 4 floors. The ground floor accommodates a gracious living room with barrel vaults, furnished with two comfortable sofas, which may in turn offer sleeping space when opened, a bathroom with shower and an area for laundry. The first floor is furnished with an ample kitchen equipped and a comfortable dining area with a rich library, full of books of any kind and touristic guides in every language. The second floor accommodates two master bedrooms, one with private bathroom and a standard double bed and the second with a comfort single bed (140cm width, suitable for a couple). The third floor is made out of a master bedroom with a baby cot and another bedroom with again two single beds and a private bathroom. The last staircase brings direct access to a gracious terrace equipped with sun-beds and furnished with outdoor dining area, welcomed underneath a wooden pavilion.

Great Value for Large Group, Loud Neighbourhood and Small Showers

Great value and location for a large group. Two of the bathrooms are in the bedrooms, not the hallway which makes them a bit odd for sharing in a group and the third is on the first floor (4 floors down from some bedrooms). All the showers were very small and the one on the main floor could not really hold an adult. The location is great for being in the city center but is quite loud, especially very early in the morning. Check in /out process was easy and host was very helpful.

Solglime in Oct

Stayed here late Oct. Towards the end of their main tourist season so was fairly quiet but weather warm (for us Brit’s). Location is great in the old town just minutes walk to restaurants etc and 2 mins from nearest beach. House was as per pics and to a good standard. Nice to sit on the roof terrace and look over the rooftops and towards the sea. No parking so had to park on free spaces in neighbouring streets. Really enjoyed our 4 days here, wished it was longer. Visited Polignano, Alberobello , Ostuni and Castellana de Grotte while we were there. HelloApulia office just a few minutes walk from the property if needed.

Mancanza di flessibilità

La casa presa in affitto (Solglime) e’ certamente molto caratteristica e piena di accessori ma la quantita Di scale ha reso il soggiorno faticoso - forse ottimale per giovani coppie ma certamente non per famiglie con bimbi piccoli e anziani. Abbiamo trovato la casa abbastanza pulita e fornita di lenzuola e asciugamani. I letti erano molto scomodi ma ci siamo comunque adattati. L’episodio piu spiacevole e’ stato il momento del check out quando siamo stati letteralmente invitati a lasciare l’appartamento all’istante. Quando abbiamo spiegato che c’era stato un inconveniente (in quanto il treno per l’aeroporto di Bari era stato soppresso quindi c’era stato un ritardo anche per il ritiro dell auto che dovevamo prendere in affitto) c’e stata tolleranza zero. Quindi siamo stati costretti a lasciare l’appartamento immediatamente e aspettare mio fratello per un ora che arrivasse con l’auto accampandoci per strada con 4 bambini tra cui una di 3 anni e un bimbo di 9 mesi piu’ due persone anziane. Credo che un po’ di flessibilità per il check out sarebbe stata apprezzata considerando le circostanze. La Puglia è sicuramente uno dei posti che amiamo di più per le nostre vacanze ma non credo di prenotare più tramite l’agenzia HelloApulia.

The location is great, the building clean, neat and well equipped (more than necessary), unfortunately the air conditioner did not work exactly as I had most need of it! The terrace has a beautiful sea view but also to the old town! Overall a very successful holiday, would have some minuses but i am convinced that they can be addressed and I will not post them here here if I will get in to Apulia region, Helloapulia will be the first place I will look for accommodation! Thank you!

Die Wohnung liegt in der Altstadt und hat 4 Stockwerke plus Dachterasse. Die Einrichtung ist komplett. Es gibt drei Badezimmer, wobei die Dusche im unteren Bad etwas für Schlangenmenschen ist. Fernseher und Stereoanlage funktionierten nicht richtig (ist aber bei einem Aufenthalt in Apulien auch nebensächlich). Die Lage der Wohnung ist ansonsten eine super, an der großen Kirche und mitten in der Altstadt. Die Altstadt kann nicht mit einem Auto befahren werden. Ein Auto ist aber empfehlenswert, wenn man sich die Umgebung ansehen will. Die Angestellten von HelloApulia waren sehr freundlich. Wir haben einen sehr entspannten Urlaub verlebt.

Not only was our stay at Solglime amazing, we couldn't say more about the service of your agency! Things were coordinated well, and people were so helpful! The house was perfect, the beaches were perfect, and the dining options were perfect. We will be back! Thank you for an amazing mini vacation before our trek through the rest of Italy!
