I did not like that there was no bar service at the pools. It was inconvenient to have to put shoes on to walk to the bar and carry multiple drinks back to the pool area.

property is overall very noisy, guests are very loud in the hallways. smoking in the common areas is prohibited but not enforced. Dining is limited, there are only 3 restaurants which are impossible to get reservations for ( i tried from the time i arrived) and one buffet dining which was decent. the entertaining was superb! staff was friendly and overall fun to be around.

I had the best experience at this hotel. I enjoyed my ocean front room that had views to the pools and the most amazing sunsets. I truly enjoyed my time on the balcony, on the beach, and in the pool. There was always something to do at the hotel. I ate at the buffet every night because it had all I needed. The food options were endless and the flavor was Jamaican and not watered down. The Jerk Chicken was delicious. This was a solo trip and I felt safe. I stayed on the property the whole time and felt warmth from the staff. I enjoyed that there were always each chairs and pool chairs to choose from. I went to the beach in the mornings and it was super clean and well seen care of. The property also had a waterpark for adults. What can I say about the fabulous entertainment? The foam party and pool party. The shows were fantastic. I am coming back.

Arrived at 11am, but room wasn’t ready until after 3pm. Our bags were left unsecured in the lobby, and a random bus driver attempted to take mine—very unsettling. When we finally got a room, it reeked of mold and fresh paint. Requested a different room, which was up three flights of stairs with no elevator. The mini fridge didn’t work and took over 90 minutes to fix. The property is large, but only rooms and dining areas are air-conditioned. The lobby isn’t, making it uncomfortable. Food was just okay—buffet-style and repetitive, especially for breakfast. Limited bar access: only two outdoor bars and no drink service around the property. Beach bar offers no frozen drinks. Drug dealers on kayaks were constantly heckling us from the water—staff said they couldn’t intervene unless they came ashore. Beach had mucky sand and sea grass, which made swimming unpleasant. The resort is very close to the airport, so expect loud plane noise all day. Outdoor walkways mean getting soaked if it rains—no covered paths. Definitely not ideal for older guests or those with mobility issues. The 24hr sports bar had a strong mildew smell, and we left immediately. Night entertainment was a highlight, with engaging performers, but again, no drink service—you have to get your own. Overall, disappointing experience.

Overall was good vibes and a good experience coming here. Only thing was that there was 2 other RUI resorts next door that had access to our resort, but we didn’t have access to there resort, which i thought was a little odd, so I felt that i didn’t get the full experience.

My room flooded & all my clothes got damaged. They ask if I wanted my clothes washed I told them yes I had a white & dark load. They wash all my new white things with my dark and my whites got dingy. I ask them to wash separately. I came all the way to Riu Montego Bay just to have nothing to wear. So my trip was RUINED and that was very inconvenient.

We were in Jamaica for work. The staff across the board was very friendly. Wish there was better toiletries in the bathroom. Food was not great. However, the restaurants were very efficient, and staff is always pleasant.

The property was amazing and the staff was great! The food was good and the vibes was great. I am upset I didn’t get a birthday banner or anything but other than that I loved it and will be back!
