Fun girls trip

E we stayed in a double queen with a balcony. The rims were clean but needed to be updated. It was very worn, holes in the wall, sink and tub cracked. The hotel is 2 buildings connected across the street by a skywalk. Parking is difficult to check in, minimal street parking, only a parcade across the street from the lobby. The service was meh. Staff didn’t seem to really want to be there. The restaurant in the hotel was not good. We went for breakfast and ordered waffles, they were full of hard crunchy sugar, like chewing on a sugar cube. When I brought it up with the waitress she just said “ oh yes, that’s how they are” and that was it. I had only taken maybe 3 bites of my Waffel and couldn’t eat it anymore, she just left it on the table and brought the bill. Did not go back to try dinner. The spa was amazing, and friendly, the pool was great, adults only after 9, yay! We had a memorable trip with lots of laughs, would go back again. Maybe get an updated room next time and hopefully the staff decide to like their jobs!

There’s a lot of cracks and bumps in the sidewalk, comma no place to just stop and drop off your family and suitcases. You have to go across the road, other than that it’s OK.

We have travelled there at least 6 out of last 10 years. 3 days felt like a week. It was so relaxing. The rooms have needed updating for years but access to the mineral springs pool and spa services were sublime. This is not the case with new ownership. The pool is now open to public from 8:30 am to closing. We were unable to use pool on more than 3 occasions due to the amount of people in the pool. Bathing suits seem to be optional as there were some in regular clothing such as cutoffsand more than one child had regular diapers on rather than swimmers.

The spa is always a nice place to go to break up the winter. It is always clean and looked after but it is becoming dated and in need of some upgrades.

The room I purchase was advertised as recently renovated. We booked a very deluxe suite of the hotel and came into a room that mimic'd the almost out of business hotel in a small town. The room was dirty, extemely dated, and the thermostat controls were clumsy and ineffective (the room was 30 C for the first 6 hours). The staff were great. The area around the hotel is surrounded with the homeless. Stair wells around the premise had used needles and human feces. The parking lot was filled with such ice that low cars get damaged driving around. Book a different hotel but come for the spa.
