Fire alarm in our room started going off after 5 am. I didnt realize the noise was inside our room at first as I sleep with earplugs. After several times and my family being awakened I went to ask for assistance.
The rude man working at the counter accused me of lying about the time it started going off, saying if it had been going off at 5 I wouldn’t have waited to come to desk til 605. He claimed housekeeping would have fixed it at 5 but now I had to wait a half hour. He continued to smirk and insinuate I was lying. I had said 5 something, not 5 on the dot. Regardless, compassion would have went a long way.
Nobody came to fix this til 755 am. More than 2 and a half hours later. My entire family was tired and had headaches due to getting woken up several hours before we needed to be up and no solution from the hotel.
Reached out to several diff employees requesting to speak to the manager. They told me he’d be in at 8 am, then 10 am, and when we left at 1030 he still wasn’t in. Messaged him and contacted hotels.com and manager refused to reach out to me and offer any apology or response.
The rude man who works overnight should not work in customer service. He is the worst customer service I’ve encountered in my life. I have a video I will send the BBB regarding this.
