Spend 6 days at the Grand Hyatt, Baha Mar with my family and it was overall an amazing place. Extremely clean, good dinning areas, and beautiful scenery. Our biggest con was the surprise fees and taxes. We never complain about pricing being that the stay is usually up to par. However, as a family of three it was nearly impossible to have breakfast without having to pay $100 or more- a simple breakfast I may add. Dinner was also extremely expensive being that they added about 25% taxes and VIT to everything. Hence, the pricing of the location was absurd- even for basic necessities aside from food. If you are looking for a stay that is extremely beautiful and convenient then this place is a perfect option but please be aware of how expensive it can get!

Back in Nassau for high school reunion. Long-awaited trip. Resort was beautiful and high-end, communication with resort was awful and draining and never yielded results. Management needs more training in respectful and solution-oriented problem solving. We repeatedly made a simple request -need a room for our family with an accessible bathroom. Resort did not provide this and don’t really understand what accessibility is in 2025. They made this so difficult for us. We made the most of our stay with significant burden added to 1 of my family members, and resort managers/staff did not get it until we left and wrote a heartfelt complaint again. The resort refunded us $1000 and I appreciate this gesture. This hotel as an international destination needs to urgently retrofit some rooms to be accessible or make very clear on the website (and so should hotels.com) that they are NOT an accessible facility. They charge so much -why not make communications crystal clear? Restaurants are great, overpriced (yes!) and require advance reservations. Eating out on the island is far cheaper and very delicious so don’t hesitate to discover. Jazz club was phenomenal-I could not get enough and pools and beach access just gorgeous. Water park a major plus. Pack lots of snacks, get a room with a view, and spend as much time in the pools and beach.

Service in the restaurants and bars was awful. Took forever to be seated and forever to get served. For the amount of money you’re spending the service should be impeccable. I will say the ONLY restaurant on property that had great service was Carna. Their service was impeccable. If everyone at that resort could learn from them they’d be golden. Other than that restaurant, service sucked.
