This was our first stay at a RIU property and we had some trouble loading the RIU app and getting dinner reservation our first night. Dinning at the Atlantic (no reservation required) was available most hours and the food selection was extensive and excellent. Staff throughout the facility were super!

Great staff all around. Beautiful property. Clean rooms. Perfect location. All food was fresh and tasted great. Location with shopping near by and easy/fast to get a taxi on property with help from staff to anywhere on island.

The property was very much a hotel versus a resort. We prefer the resort type feel and though this offered the same experience we would have prefer to feel more at a resort. There was a ton of people who travelled to Nassau via cruise and took a day trip to the beach we were on. The food was honestly not good (I would recommend dining at the buffet). However the staff was very very friendly and the people trying to sell you stuff on the beach were super nice and personable. The beach itself was gorgeous and is why we came here so I can’t be too mad.

The staff was great and so was the food. The hotel itself is rather outdated but the pool and beach was beautiful. The amazing staff and service really did stand out!

Housekeeping was amazing, friendly, knowledgeable and our room was perfect every night. Bellmen were friendly and knowledgeable. Only 2 bars with long lines. Bartenders are not friendly they seemed bothered you ordered a drink. Faster to go to your room and get a drink. Food was good. One of the better buffet I've been too. Wait staff was ok, depending on whom you had. Only 2 bathrooms on the main floor, (poolside and lobby) Entertainment was horrible, its like watching a 5 yr old dance competition, music is so loud you can't talk with the person next to you. DJ is extremely loud and played horrible music. The pool area is full of bird crap! Only had one waitress walking around to wait on you, faster to go to your room. I especially didn't like that they allowed cruise ship people day passes to the resort. The swim up bar pool was shut down 3 different days because someone puked in the pool. Plus the outside bar closes at 5pm. The beach had nice sand and water was beautiful, but the locals give you no peace and are constantly bugging you to buy things or do their excursions. RIU Bahamas I will defiantly not be coming back and won't be recommending you.

It wasn't what i expected seemed pretty run down, no real experience everything was taxi ride no shuttle services and the taxis charge a lot and each one is different , the extra activities were way too expensive 250 for an hour on a jet ski just ridiculous , 500 for 30 minute couple massages was just bizarre even with the all inclusive mainly just get drinks which is nice but you also trying to do some other sort of activities and the location is in some dead end run down corner

The hotel staff was great. With that being said room furnitures ( fridge, TV and AC) were old. The restaurants ok with limited menu options. Buffet was good. For the restaurants in the resorts you had to make a reservation two days prior and you had to use the RIU app for it. Most of the time the app didn’t work. The beach area was the most disappointed, they provided chairs and towels chairs, but not umbrellas for the beach and they used “wind” excuses for not providing them. In the water, jet skis were driven inside the swimming area mostly by intoxicated people and resort personnel did not intervene. Over all, workers at the resorts were great but the property needs improvement in many areas.

Although it’s definitely one of the older RIU properties and needs some updating, the staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean. The food was great. Lots of options and definitely fresh. Spa staff know their craft! Beautiful beach with lounge chairs and umbrellas. The pool deck should be power sprayed more often due to the local seagulls. Pool BBQ shack made the best BBQ chicken! Walking distance to shopping and taxis are readily available across the street.

Restaurants offered only institutional buffet for breakfast and lunch. Dinner at restaurants lacked variety. Small overcrowded beach. Limited experience if you want to do something besides eat and drink. Not worth the price I paid to stay.

Rui is not all inclusive, you have to make reservations to eat and there were no available reservations during our entire stay. The staff was not very friendly overall. The alcohol is literally bottom of the barrel, you can’t even pay for an upgraded drink. The rooms had a strange smell. The location was nice, right on the beach, pool was nice. We would not stay here again.

We were told when we got there that they were giving us a Room upgrade - but it was in fact not. The room looked nothing like the pictures online. Violence happening in room next door to us first night that we called front desk 2x and security came up just to knock on the door telling them to quiet down. Someone was getting hit and thrown around and they were just told to quiet down. It was the scariest thing I have ever woken up to from a deep sleep. Resort name Hats for all guests would be great. Hotel Shuttle to and from airport and straw market area would be helpful. American times shown on app for dining times as well as around the hotel. Snack type food at bar available all day was not ever told to us by hotel, but learned from another guest the last day of our stay. Need more types of snack food available at all times. Late night outdoor bar area should be open so people can enjoy the evening without having to be inside. Explain RIU bucks at the beginning of the stay at check in so guests know how to earn money and what it’s for. We didn’t know until midweek when someone offered us their money because they were leaving. Nonsmoking area out front so guests can sit and relax and no smoking at pool at all times. Shower in our room left a rust stain on floor from dripping nonstop. Bathroom floor is extremely slippery when someone showers because there is no ventilation or fan to turn on.
