It is a nice hotel, close to the things you want to see in the French Quarter, the room is small but has a good layout with a mini fridge, etc, in a nook

Windows were filthy. Cobwebs in very high ceilings. Bar was not properly stocked on a Friday. The sidewalk immediately outside the front door is a safety hazard. The front door area near the valet reeks of smoke. It is very unpleasant. Receptionist I spoke with at front desk twice was rude. Lacked information on restaurants in the area. Spoke very softly. Seemed easily irritated. Mm We were on the 3rd floor and it was excessively noisy each night. I rated this hotel as average but it may be less than average given the room rate, location and rating I reviewed before booking. I will not recommend this hotel. I would not stay gere in the future.

Love that the property was waling distance to every place we wanted to go...i didn't like the fact that it was hard to reach front desk and that one of the supervisors came accused me of a complaint that i was reaching out to inform them of... but overall i love this place minus her

Wouldn't Stay Again

The hotel was in a good location near the French Quarter and the (paid) breakfast was good, but that's where the pros of our stay end. The hotel was run down, dingy, and smelled bad in the lobby and hallways. Most of the staff seemed disinterested in attending to guests. It's shocking that this hotel is associated with the Marriott brand.

NOT in the French Quarter or in expected condition

I booked this hotel because it advertised as in the French Quarter, but it it NOT. It is a block and a half away. I asked the front desk if it was safe for me to walk at night to the Quarter (which is why I wanted to be in the French Quarter), and they told me it is not, to take a taxi/uber. I will give a shout-out to the staff, which was exemplary in their handling of me losing my key and in helping me get a taxi to the airport. The room condition left much to be desired. The sink was stopped up and they didn't fix it when I asked. The sliding bathroom doors didn't slide open fully. The European breakfast felt sparce in a city of such rich food - I wouldn't recommend it for the $15. Neither, in fact, does the lady serving the breakfast - I heard her continually recommend nearby restaurants to customers.

Close to everything

This hotel is in a great location. The room was spacious, but a bit dark. The beds were comfortable. The staff is very friendly. I would stay here again.

The good points: Very convenient location. Nice gym. Breakfast host very friendly and helpful. The less good: Tired in areas (esp outdoor space). Room very dark even with all lights on. Front desk personnel varied from helpful to defensive. We had an issue with one of our two reservations. It was ultimately resolved by the manager but it took some time and it was quite stressful. Overall, recommended for the price and location but not perfect.
