the hotel was nice and clean. It was a bit troublesome to shower, as the shower screen only went half way of the shower and was also badly installed. so some of the water flowed all over the bathroom floor. the staff was very nice. unfortunately we were a bit unhappy with the service of the restaurant. it was closed but should‘ve been opened and there was no notification why.

Cons: We did not receive the VIP access upgrade. Our room was on the first floor in the front. It did not have the promised view of Amsterdam city. It was loud every night. I feel the hotel did not live up to its advertising for what we booked. We did get one free buffet breakfast in lieu of the upgrade. It would have been nice to at least get a higher floor or a room on the canal side. Disappointing in that the VIP access was a bust. PROS: The staff were very friendly. A big shout out to the omelette lady and Nadia in the bar. Elena in guest relations was also very nice. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The amenities were lovely - water available on each floor at all times, fun treats in the lobby, nice gym, very convenient location. The room was a nice size for the three of us. The hotel was very clean. I would definitely recommend the hotel but make sure you get what is advertised and what you paid for in terms of the room.

Biggest issue with this hotel was the guarantee of the room by 3 pm and that didn’t happen… and the employee then being rude about it. Great view from the family apartment (529). Great location.
