At the heart of the French Quarter, this hotel is right along Bourbon St. People watching from your balcony and hearing the loud noise outside is part of the experience. If the noise doesn’t bother you, this is a great location. They do offer ear plugs in the room should you need it. The property itself is fine. The staff are helpful and no complaints whatsoever.

This hotel is a pleasant surprise. The staff is wonderful and its right in the middle of the action. We went for football and superdome 28 minute walk. We will be back

Beware if you don’t party hearty!

We anticipated noise because we were right on Bourbon Street. We were not anticipating speakers across the street that were so loud that the walls vibrated and the noise level above 100 decibels in the room. We did not use the coffee maker after the first time. Replenishing paper cups every other day means you have to reuse old cups. After figuring this out we considered the coffee maker contaminated with others saliva. Garbage from previous occupants, tags, etc. were on the floor. We had to ask to have our room cleaned on the “other” day. Floor was not touched and old tags etc were left. We went to have a drink the last night we were there before Preservation Hall and the bar wasn’t stocked with rye whiskey for a Manhattan. We settled for a glass of wine and left. The desk staff and the security staff were extremely pleasant! Kudos to them all!

Soft pillows, even softer guest services

The hotel was fine, the room sufficiently large and comfortable. My problems started with guests services reminding me that “this is not New York,” i.e. that they couldn’t offer flexibility, as they’re in a small Southern town. Grow up, folks, other hotels in the French Courter can. It was a pleasant enough stay, but you’ve lost my business. Oh, and get some firm pillows.
