Steps to the LaFitte Greenway!
North of the noise and saturated color of the Quarter is a New Orleans neighborhood that’s perfected the art of living. “Welcome to Mid-City,” read the signs on the neutral ground. And that’s truth in advertising. It’s the kind of place where your auto mechanic invites you to a crawfish boil and a total stranger may buy you a drink at an Irish pub or a cannoli at an Italian bakery. Take the red streetcar line up Canal to the Cemeteries (Mid-City’s dead neighbors are as interesting as the live ones) or bike the new 2.6-mile-long Lafitte Greenway that stretches from Basin Street to Carrollton Avenue and, conveniently, past a po’ boy shop or two – or 17 – with a sno-ball shop and a micro-brewery thrown in for good measure. Buttermilk biscuits. Live music. A bowl of Vietnamese pho. Who wouldn’t want to visit? Eat. Drink. Get up here. This home is ideally located within close proximity to numerous New Orleans landmarks, including Jackson Square (1.6 Miles), Caesars Superdome/Smoothie King Center (1.3 Miles), City Park (3.5 Miles), and Lafayette Cemetery No. 1 (3.3 Miles).
If you have any questions about the neighborhood, please send us a message!
You will have full access to:
• Entire first-floor unit
• Living room
• Full kitchen
• 3 bedrooms
• 2 bathrooms
• Laundry area
★ Being on the full first floor gave us plenty of space, felt like home.
Please note: Upstairs residents live separately, but your entire level is fully private.
Step out onto the front porch and let the quiet hum of the Lafitte Greenway set the tone for your stay. This Mid-City shotgun home carries the character of old New Orleans - exposed brick, high ceilings, and a front porch made for slow mornings - while delivering the space and practicality a group actually needs. Whether you're here for a festival weekend, a Saints game, or simply a long-overdue escape to one of America's most storied cities, you'll find everything in reach.
Living space
The open living area brings the group together naturally, anchored by a 48-inch HDTV with standard cable, Netflix, Roku, and Hulu. High-speed Wi-Fi and a dedicated workspace with a door give you flexibility to work or unwind on your own schedule. Central air conditioning, central heating, and ceiling fans keep the home comfortable no matter the time of year.
Sleeping arrangements
Three bedrooms each offer a queen bed dressed in professionally laundered linens, with room-darkening shades to help you sleep in after a late night out. Every bedroom comes with its own Smart TV, and generous clothing storage - including a walk-in closet, closet, and dresser - means there's room to settle in properly. The home accommodates up to six guests across its three bedrooms.
Kitchen & dining
The fully equipped kitchen is stocked for real cooking. You'll find a GE stainless steel electric stove, a GE stainless steel single oven, a GE refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, and freezer. Dishes and silverware, wine glasses, a baking sheet, and a toaster round out the setup. Brew your morning cup with the drip coffee maker or French press, then gather around the dining table for meals together.
Bathrooms
Two full bathrooms serve the home, each stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body soap, shower gel, and a hair dryer. Hot water is reliable, and cleaning products are on hand throughout the stay.
Outdoor living
The front porch overlooks the Lafitte Greenway - a converted rail corridor now lined with greenery and used by locals for walking and cycling - and makes a natural spot for morning coffee or an evening drink. Out back, a private patio and fully fenced backyard give you a quiet, shaded retreat away from the street.
Family-friendly features
Traveling with young children? A pack 'n play/travel crib (sheets provided) and a folding or convertible high chair with padding, straps/harness, and food tray are both available upon request. Babysitter recommendations can also be arranged. In-unit washer and dryer handle laundry for the group without any trips to a laundromat.
Practical details
Self check-in via smart lock means a smooth, flexible arrival. The home is single-level with no interior stairs, making it fully accessible for guests who need it. Free street parking is available directly out front. Exterior security cameras are present on the property. Smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm, fire extinguisher, and a first aid kit are all in place. Long-term stays of 28 days or more are welcome, and cleaning is available during your stay.
Location
Mid-City sits at the crossroads of New Orleans' most celebrated neighborhoods. The Superdome is a 10-minute walk, Tremé's dining and music scene is steps away, and the French Quarter is minutes by foot or rideshare. The Lafitte Greenway connects you directly to City Park and Bayou St. John - two of the city's best outdoor spaces. This home is particularly well-suited for Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, Sugar Bowl, and New Year's Eve stays, when proximity to the action makes all the difference.
Please note: No parties, no unregistered guests, and no smoking. Any attempt to host a party of any kind will result in immediate termination of the stay with no refund.
