This hotel is perfectly positioned right off of Canal, there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. It’s also far enough away from the loud party areas to get restful sleep

The light bulbs in the bathroom and next to the bed were out. There were several lights out and light covers missing as well. The tub and counters need to be resurfaced because there were permanent stains which have the appearance of being unclean.

The property is located in an area that is surrounded by plenty of dining, shopping and entertainment. Upon entering the city property it appears modern and the front desk staff is professional. Elevators work properly and fairly quick. The room decor could use an update but the bed was firm, the pillows were super soft, a little too soft for my liking. The shower head is wonderful! I think for the price, it’s a good place. Checkout is 11am, I requested a late check out and received a complementary one hour. Also was told for $75 I could have a 2pm checkout which didn’t make sense when it’s $80 for another night. I left at noon. All food and beverage outlets were closed, including the Rooftop Lounge and Lobby Restaurant and Bar. I wouldn’t come back to this property but once the amenities are available for use, it might add value for others.

The hotel was exactly as pictured. All of the staff was extremely helpful and had great restaurant recommendations. The hotel is good walking distance to Canal, Bourbon, and Decatur street. We walked mostly everywhere from the hotel. We also used the street car or trolly. Unfortunately there are many individuals with out homes in the area.

l Trubadour review.. ☐ Checked in on Friday evening September 12, 2025. African American lady checking us in was rude and very curt. Once we got to the room, we could tell it needed updating. The outlets near the beds were so loose you could not connect to them. The same went for the usb outlet. The television kept losing sight al leaving us without for several hours even after calling the front desk. The Valet parking was very slow. Even after we called down first, we ended up waiting another 20 mins. When asked why, they said that the vehicle was "parked in a different lot". You might as well ignore all the falsified statements in regards to the "included amenities" listed in thier add. Turns out there is a 12.00 per day fee for everything from the "free" wifi, to the "free water". This applies even if you don't drink the water. Side note, I specifically asked the rude desk clerk if the water was free, and her response was "absolutely free".
