Reception was rude, rooms are dark and furnishings old. The room stunk like wet carpet, old socks/mold. I tried airing it out by leaving door open. After 2 nights I told the man at reception about it. No apologies offered, just a put off attitude. Their solution was to send housekeeping to spray something. I said that wouldn’t address the possible health problem. Was told there were no other rooms in my class and was reluctantly offered a lower class room. The air conditioner only blew hot air in this one, and it smelled too, but was better than the previous one.
The next day checking out, I was unbelievably scolded like an unruly child by the woman at the desk for not using her preferred terminology for housekeeping. I will never stay at a Wyndham again.
The only good thing about the hotel is the concierge and location. Despite those things, it’s not worth the price.
