Lovely hotel with great gym and SPA zone. Restaurant was also good, but menu is a bit limited and the service is slow, however we enjoyed all the food we ordered. SPA zone could benefit from the swimsuit drying device. Would definitely come back.

Not great

Got given the smallest double room I think we've ever stayed in. What made it worse was that it was situated under some stairs, meaning we could hear every single person using them. Staff were welcoming and breakfast was fine.

Overnight stopover

Pros: Convenient. Clean. Excellent breakfast.
Cons: Don't treat all guests as potential criminals, determined to steal the towels or wreck the room. Check if potential guests need a ground floor room.
Location: Details available in the room
Reception efficient but not overly friendly. Demanded credit card details although room and breakfast already paid for. Backed down after protest. No lift so if you have heavy suitcases you need a ground floor room. We were on the first floor. Assistance given but not with good grace

A night away

The hotel staff are very helpful and the room was very nice. The facilities are good with a nice bar, swimming pool, sauna the only pointers are that the steam room needs replacing through wear & tear this is no reflection on the hotel as this is run by a separate company. The only improvement we would suggest is the hotel room bathrooms don't have a coat hook to hang clothes or towels on for the sake of £2 it would finish a well refurbished room. We would use the hotel again as enjoyed our stay. A word of caution taxi's in Guildford are very very expensive!
