The hotel site says 3 miles to EPIC Universal; the directions state 5 miles. The shuttle only runs at certain times. Uber costs $20. The hotel is nice, but not convenient for EPIC.

Pricey hotel with average amenities. Very convenient to Universal - and you pay for that convenience. We stayed 3 nights - first night we had 3 towels (there were 3 of us) 2nd night one towel - third night no towels. You could hear the AC unit dripping water thru the wall and giving off a mildew smell. Staff wasn’t bad just not overly friendly. Food prices were cheaper in the park than at the hotel - crazy!

Check in was a nightmare. Staff at reception was rude and snappy. Informed the room was not ready and should receive a call soon. Fast forward we are now past the 4pm check in time still no call. Went to reception again and finally was given a key. No apology just another snappy person. This hotel is not welcoming nor dog friendly. There is a small grassy area in back with waste station and directly in opposite of that a sign saying no dogs behind this point. No dog bowls for water anywhere. Very uncomfortable experience. There is NO Starbucks in hotel although there is advertising and signs in hotel referring to the chain. After trying to find it for 15 min the parking attendant informed us it closed down. We will not stay here again. I am a long time Hilton Honors Member.
