This was a great choice for us and an excellent stay. We planned last minute and was no disappointed. Room was great with great views. Upgrade to the partial view, worth it. Pool area was outstanding, great environment. Make sure you take advantage of the 1st night buffet discount, well worth it.

I would wholeheartedly recommend the Miami Beach Riu. Not only was the entire hotel clean and kept clean throughout the day, the staff also did a wonderful job of being helpful and friendly.

Property feels outdated, the rooms look old and the beds are soft with not very good pillows. The room key kept resetting and we had to go 3 times to enter our room. The pool is small and very hot.

Good breakfast and dinner open buffet, breakfast included in the room rate which is great, dinner is extra, 37$ per person.they have fresh foods and good service, multiple options and dishes.quick service we like. the beach area is not connected to the hotel with drink service etc. you need to grab the towels from the pool area During check in All ID’s checked which is good for safety.room service is slow that we had to call at least twice for sheet change/extra towel request.

The breakfast and dinner were really of good quality and variety! The lower level rooms (floor 4) have no sea view even if you paid for that room! Which is disappointing. Front desk staff aren’t so friendly.

The staff are scammers. They taxed us a 250 fee for a smoking violation they only made us aware of at check out. I had the staff to walk up stairs with me to smell the room. I don’t smoke and never did we smoke in the room. But they made us pay it. When asking for corporates information. They called the cops for retaliation of asking for corporates information trying to embarrass us. We spoke to the police and the police stated that it was poor customer service and they should not have called after asking for corporate when we already paid.

The front desk team does not understand or execute a service culture. We stayed at the hotel for 4 days and on the first day informed the front desk that our televison was not functioning. They sent several maintenance people to check on it each time, the maintenance folks told us that there was nothing they could do to fix it. We asked to move and were told nothing available. We were told they would speak with management and get back to us- never heard a word. Upon check out, I asked if they would do anything on the invoice and was told that was not in their control. seems like not much is in their control. Need some service training.

By far the worse service with no accommodation for beach seating yet they charge for resort fees. When it was addressed the answer was "I just work here" "I donno" staff was rude and did not care when seating for pool and beach was addressed. Eye rolling and "checked out" staff....
