The property was under renovations, not at all announced in the Expedia booking page. Staff at the lobby were rude and unhelpful. There was no security whatsoever in the building, no front desk apparently South Beach uses the Boulan lobby. Not to mention construction was loud and continuous. There were multiple male construction workers actively performing renovations throughout the property without any apparent supervision. As women, we felt unsafe due to the absence of hotel staff on-site—there was no front desk, no concierge, and no visible security presence. Additionally, the doors to the main building were left open at all times, allowing unrestricted access, and the key system intended to control entry was nonfunctional.

Clean hotel in a great location with a nice pool and friendly staff. Not many facilities, and some extras like coffee capsules ($2 each) and laundry were expensive. No iron in the room, and our view was just a concrete wall, not like the photo on Expedia. Still, we had a pleasant stay overall.

Alright but not 4 stars

We were a bit disappointed with our one night stay at this hotel. For the last night of our holiday we decided to book this 4 star hotel, however it was not what we were expecting. Even though the room is nice and so was the bathroom, it had no reception service and no ice machines. The towels had a strong vinegar smell, had stains on them and left us covered in fluff after using them. The windows did not block any noise during the night, which isnt great in such a busy area. Overalll it didnt feel like a 4 star hotel.

Loved the rooftop pool and the views from up top but they hit you with so many hidden fees and so much service tax and occupancy tax it doesn’t even make things worth it they make you think the snacks and drinks in the hotel come with the stay for free but they end up charging you for everything also with tax, if your not tryna get an extra 600 dollar bill at the end your stay don’t eat the snacks or drink the drinks and don’t let them clean your room everyday. They would always sneak in while we were gone even though every time they knocked we would say not needed.

I was quite disappointed with my stay at the South Beach Hotel. The photos online are misleading and don’t accurately reflect the condition of the rooms. Additionally, the hotel doesn’t actually have its own pool — guests must use the one at the Boulan Hotel next door, which is a bit inconvenient to access. One of the receptionists, who was usually there during check-in, was surprisingly rude and unhelpful when I asked for clarification on a few matters related to the hotel. On a positive note, the housekeeping staff, particularly the lady who cleaned our room on the first floor, was exceptional — very professional and always did a fantastic job. Overall, my experience was just okay. I expected more given the online presentation and the price point.

Property is under renovation, main lobby is closed. Hotel is old, run down, dirty. Pictures advertised where not of hotel . Had to access rooms from a back entrance. We booked queen beds specifically as we had 2 adults per bed. Hotel Stated they do not even have queen beds, just doubles and Expedia was advertising it wrong.

I was only in the city for a few days, but this hotel made my trip so much more enjoyable. The location was perfect, close to everything I wanted to see. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. I’ll be back for sure!
