My 19 year old came here in 11th grade with his band trip and he loved it so much we decided to stay here as a family. It was a great week, and loved the hotel but few things I did not like: very long walk to lobby from room, no microwave in rooms (at least have one by ice machine?), no balcony. That would have made our trip even better to sit on a blacony in the morning or evening. But overall we loved our stay and would recommend this hotel.

I chose this property to take advantage of Early Park Admission offered. It was not worth it. We were on the first shuttle over to IOA at 7a/m for Hagrid’s to break down 10 minutes after the park opened. We stayed in line until 9:30 hoping it would reopen, until they finally announced the ride would be closed until further notice. So we walk over to HP & the Forbidden Journey to get in line there, when they also shut down with technical difficulties. It wasn’t until almost 11a/m that we were finally able to ride our first ride, the Velocicoaster. This wasn’t the hotel’s fault of course, but I could’ve stayed across the street at the Hyatt for a free breakfast. Everything was a la carte at Dockside’s market, spending almost $50 for a coffee, OJ, carton of yogurt, small fruit and a scone. I probably would’ve still rated this hotel 3 out of 5 stars except for the nightly noise. Do not plan on sleeping at this place until well after 2 a/m. It was horrendous.

I don’t like writing bad reviews but when it earned I must. This was the 2nd time staying at this hotel and while the first experience was good this experience was the opposite. Customer service was NOT the same. While trying to ask some questions at the vacation counter a women there wouldn’t allow me to get my question out before she was giving me her answers and when I asked for her to allow me to finish my question. She had an attitude and gave me the same answer she already told me. My next issue is that some staff members don’t speak or understand English so again trying to ask a question about the food or service they just looked at me funny or gave me some random answer. Not helpful. My biggest issue is when my family and I tried to leave the parking lot our key cards would not work and we were not the only ones. One of there employees behind my car was nice and tried to help but even he couldn’t get it to work. When we gave up and went into the lobby to let the hotel rep know she told me that the manager was out there twice and that it’s working and to be more patient as it’s not the machine that is malfunctioning. When I told here that one of the employees tried he could get it to work and when we tried using the call button the voice message would come in the disconnect before you had a chance to leave a message. My wife talked to the same hotel rep and got the same manager to try and it didn’t work. He apologized as some cards where disconnected a day early.
