Our family just spent two full weeks at Cabana Bay and we absolutely loved this hotel! We were a bit apprehensive before coming here after reading some of the mixed reviews, however we couldn’t have been more impressed with the resort. The expansive amenities reminded me of an all-inclusive resort, the dining and cleanliness were similar to a Universal theme park, and the 1950s theme reminded me of an episode of Mad Men. Madison working at the front desk was excellent and really helped find us a room that worked great for our family, and we had good experiences with the other staff as well. My only criticism is that the room housekeeping wasn’t very good, but it wasn’t a big deal. Staying here for 2 weeks gave us a good look at different aspects of the property, and we were super impressed. We had a really great family vacation here and will definitely be coming back.

Cabana Bay is an amazing resort with some of the best pools, hot tubs, and ammenities for all to enjoy! I would argue that its probably the best overall universal hotel property! My fiance and I stood here for 10 nights in May of 2025. We got to have early preview access to Epic universe for staying at a universal property. We had an amazing vaction. Cabana Bay is quiet, family friendly, very clean, comfortable, and conviently located to volcano Bay which has its own private walking path to the park. Also included in your cabana bay stay are constant free Universal shuttles to the parks. My fiance and I would live at Cabana Bay for a year if we could! Its a great choice for couples and familes with children.

Cabana Bay Resort is such a wonderful stay for the price! You really get your moneys worth staying here. The best things are the location and easy access to the parks. Its one of the only universal properties with hot tubs and a water slide plus two nice size pools. My fiance and I have vacationed here twice. This past trip we took in May 2025, was for 10 nights! We got so accustomed to the resort and Orlando that we felt like we were living there. The staff are pleasant, the cleaning service for your room does excellent work. And the front desk is always friendly and accomadating. We will be returning here again and again! Thank you Canana Bay! We rated you a 5 star in every category! If we could afford to stay here on a longterm month to month basis, we so would!

Family friendly and affordable option to stay in the universal bubble. Use of unlimited bus transfers to universal them parks and city walk is very convenient. Dining options on site that catered for my ceoliac child. Walk next door to volcano bay is very easy or use in site pool facilities.

Some areas were broken and not operational. This was disappointing to see since there was no apparent effort to repair the situation past or present. In particular the recreational room which would be a huge benefit in inclement weather when the pool was closed. Another area was the frozen yogurt bar as a healthy alternative. The quality of food overall was lacking and there were not many healthy options. Mainly fast food.

This is our favorite hotel to stay at when we go on vacation in Florida. If you’re going to Universal parks then you get perks, like getting into the park early. At this specific hotel, you can actually walk to Universal’s waterpark. You also get a private entrance rather than the general entrance. The staff consistently checked in with us to make sure we did not need anything. My favorite part about this hotel is that there are two swimming pools and a lazy river. There’s also a bowling alley and an arcade. There’s even a Starbucks downstairs. There are plenty of food choices if you don’t want to leave the resort they are not overly priced. They offer drink cups for purchase that can be refilled for your entire stay, which helps to manage the cost of drinks. We always have a great time staying at this hotel. They take care of us.

Nice hotel - terrible sleep

Nice hotel But as soon as we laid our toddler down, around 8:30, there was loud music playing and even with the sound machine on, the music is just non stop. I'm thinking it's from city walk but I'm not too sure. However, terrible night sleep due to the disruption. I like this hotel but unsure I would stay again because my family and I couldn't get a goodnight sleep.
