We recently stayed at this Hotel from the 1st Oct to 11th Oct, although we didn't arrive till late morning of the 3rd, due to airline problems, once arrived we found the staff to be very helpful, kind, polite, and the rooms and all area's we're very clean spotless, the desk staff as well as cleaners and porters, would help out with any enquiry you had to ask we couldn't of stayed at a better Hotel than this, easy reach to Grand Central station, and many other place's highly recommend, would definitely stay again when visiting New York, Thank you Dylan Hotel, for a fantastic Holiday we'll be back at some point in the future.

Pros: Location was excellent straight across from the New York Library.
Cons: The room should be ready when guests arrive. If you are arriving after the allowed check in time.
Location: Location was excellent. Chemist on the corner. New York City Library straight across the road. Empire State building 5 minute walk.
When we arrived at the hotel at 5pm (2 hours after the approved check in time) our room was not available. We were exhausted after travelling for hours. We had to leave our bags at reception and go and occupy ourselves. It just would have been nice to settle ourselves, freshen up and then head out for the evening. The safe in the room did not work for the entire trip so we had to keep locking items in our bags. There was one particular woman who was working on reception, she was very abrupt and rude. She openly argued with her colleagues at the reception desk in front of guests also. Other wise, housekeeping kept the room very clean and there were fresh towels every evening.
