Disliked: Amenities, property conditions & facilities
The staff was fine, the amenities were lacking. This hotel was such a disappointment, the lobby area was small and crowded and hot. The doors into the hotel were always dirty. The bar area had 2 small loveseats and 4 chairs with 2 coffee tables and about 10 small barstools. Sammy, the bartender was very nice though.
The room on the 20th floor was a decent size but very dated. The bedside sconces were hung so high you had to get out of bed to turn on and off and they were bright and not dimmable The bathroom configuration was awkward as well. The glass shelf over the toilet was falling off the wall.The bed was comfortable but the wooden headboard needs to be cleaned between guests.
The restaurant was hidden down a hallway and only served a breakfast buffet at $20 per person and a very limited, pricey menu for the bar area. The WORST thing though was the noise inside the room at 20 floors up- you could hear the subway below, the elevator and the neighboring rooms. This did not feel like I would expect for a Sheraton/ Marriot Bonvoy stay.
