The staff was friendly, the room was spacious, welcoming and comfortable. The breakfast area was great and the rooftop patio was a nice bonus. We will definitely return to Hotel Scherman for our next visit to NYC.

Cute boutique hotel ! 6 minutes walk to Times Square, easy to get uber/ other transportation to anywhere else in the city. Roof has the perfect night time view. 5 stars and 10/10. Will be back !

Really nice experience!

Overall really nice experience. Great location if you’re in the city for a Broadway show. Rooms are clean and bed was comfortable. Room size is on the smaller side, but shower was roomy with good water pressure. Enjoyed the rooftop terrace with a bottle of wine and snacks. Nice continental breakfast. Would stay here again and highly recommend to family and friends.

I LOVED the location of this hotel because it’s in walking distance of port authority which can get you where you need to go! What was best was the cozy feel of our room and the warmth of the staff. It has a cute and modest rooftop as well! This place was exactly what we were looking for!

Lovely boutique hotel in the heart of restaurant row. Room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. We absolutely loved the location, but the price of being in the heart of the action is incessant street noise. All night long. I should have brought ear plugs but didn’t think it of it. We would stay here again, but request the top floor in the hopes that the noise would be a little less noticeable. Overall, a great weekend getaway.

Great hotel with an amazing staff! Always smiling and very nice, informative and welcoming. The room was spotless and very clean and the hotel’s location is very centric, near Times Square, Broadway theatres and subways. The hotel also have a continental breakfast included, which is really nice and they have a cute rooftop for the guests that can bring food and drinks from outside and go sit there.

We stayed in a goegeous suite that we were given as an upgrade, returning from lunch on check in day to find our left luggage had already been moved up there even! The hotel and service were impeccable. The included continental breakfast included excellent croissants and real jams, not those tasteless tiny containers; good coffee too! Wonderfully friendly and hepful staff, in every way. In the heart of the theater and restaurant district.

This is a very quaint and cozy hotel in the middle of the heater district. The room was surprising large for a Manhattan hotel. The room even had a little balcony with a chair and table, overlooking 43rd street. Even though there are several bars and restaurants on the street, it was not very noisy at all. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. We will definitely be booking this location again in he future. Highly recommend.

A charming hotel!

Cutest boutique hotel! Front desk staff was friendly and even gave us a room upgrade. There was a handwritten welcome note in our room and they took our bags up to our room for us since we were there early. The room was actually ready before the scheduled time too! Great location near the theater and restaurant district. Very nice continental breakfast. There is even a bar/restaurant attached. If we were there in warmer weather we would have also enjoyed the rooftop lounge. What a nice touch. Reasonably priced for NYC. Would definitely stay there again!

For the price and location, I couldn’t recommend Hotel Scherman more. Stayed in the townhouse next to the main hotel; very comfortable bed, room and bathroom facilities. Could maybe do with one or two more power sockets close to the beds but also aware that we use a lot of cables for charging things 😅 If you’re like me and can hear a pin drop in your sleep, can also confirm that it’s very well sound proofed for a central Manhattan location! The bar downstairs/adjacent (Backstage Tavern) is also really good and a nice vibe. Probably not ideal if you have accessibility issues but there’s a lift in the main hotel (stairs floors aren’t the most even in the townhouse), so don’t let that put you off. Would very happily stay again.
