Great place for a short (4 nights) stay, it’s a reasonably quiet area at night, with a NYFD station on the next block. This is NYC, so it’s never totally quiet😁. Our room was on 9th floor at the front of the building, so some views up and down 8th Avenue. Shortage of a usable mirror in the main bedroom area but one in bathroom and one next to bathroom. Limited drawer storage in room. All staff were very friendly and very professional.

I loved the Hotel Theta! Not only were the rooms WAYYY more spacious than my friends', who were staying at the Marriott Marquis, the staff were incredibly kind and helpful! My room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the location can't be beat. I also thoroughly enjoyed the free wine happy hour at the charming rooftop bar upstairs. This'll be my go-to spot every time I visit NYC from now on.

Anniversary Trip Stay

Our stay at the Kimpton was wonderful. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary and the hotel setup champagne on ice for us in our room on arrival. Nice touch! Rooftop bar is very comfortable and happy hour wine got our evenings off to a great start. Hotel is just far enough away from Times Square to avoid the major noise and traffic. Will stay here again.

Good hotel, great location, needs some sound proof

Nice hotel. I was on the 10th floor out of 14 and I could hear all the noise from the streets. It’s also near a fire station so heard sirens at all hours.

Lots of honking and yelling from the streets, but the area was fun and lively and the hotel itself is gorgeous. Great coffee downstairs and a grocery store across the street! Amazing service as well.

Kimpton charges an extra $50 per night after your Expedia price. They claim to offer $20 in laundry services - of course that’s because it’s the least utilized service. This is an old property with broken door handles, cracked tile, you have to ask for more towels even if they are charging form more people. The free coffee is barely drinkable. The elevators don’t go to all the floors and there isn’t signage or a smart system to call an elevator to use for your floor. But … they allow pets. Water pressure was fine. Lobby is spacious and comfortable if you have people wake up at different times.
