I booked this hotel for my birthday weekend and a photoshoot. Unfortunately, the shoot was completely ruined by a rude guest associate who threatened to call security on my photographer. The main reason I chose this hotel was for its beautiful aesthetic, which I planned to feature in my shoot—so this was incredibly disappointing. The room itself was just okay. There’s no sink in the bathroom; instead, it’s oddly placed in the hallway of the room. The toilet is in the same space as the shower, so the entire bathroom floor gets wet after a shower, which is uncomfortable and impractical. Overall, it felt like a waste of over $800. The location is also extremely busy and noisy—definitely not ideal if you’re looking for a peaceful stay. No quiet hours were enforced.

The property is modern and designed with many on-site sightseeing spots and entertainment options. The room is spacious and has a simple interior design with lovely lighting. It stands out in its neighborhood as a modern complex that’s enjoyable in the room and throughout the whole building. My only struggle when I was living in the property is that, late at night, they are closed for dining or room service order options. But the property is in a busy area, so other food and drink options are within walking distance.

My daughter and I stayed at Public hotel while visiting my son who lives in the east village. The location was perfect for hitting all our fave spots in SoHo, Nolita, East and West Village as well as train access to Brooklyn. Amenities were great and property was modern,clean, and safe. Friendly and accommodating staff as well. Would definitely stay again.

Originally I had wanted to cancel my reservation but in glad I didn’t. Beautiful room, nice view. Although it’s a high traffic area, it’s was really quiet. Rooms were very clean. I look forward to staying there again. Also staff was so nice ! In all areas everyone you encountered was so welcoming and nice.
