Paid premium for a suite for and none of the TVs worked. Staff had no answer other than it’s down in the whole building and they didn’t seem to be bothered by it at all. No empathy or care for service shown at all.

Should have trusted my gut to see reviews first. For a hotel with some status. $1k a night that doesn’t provide a kettle, coffee machine, bath room slippers. Has to be requested for. (And was told subject to availability and was lucky to have gotten it from the housekeeping staff) seriously? Friends also stayed in the suite, SUBPAR standard service etc for $2k a night. They are members and will have more to review. Front service staff for checking in. Wow..leaves much to be desired. Make staff were just cordial and dead pan. Been to so many hotels and the price? This is really disappointing. Even a $200:night hotel at indigo NY gave better service and had EVERYTHING. Saving grace? The Porters and doormen were exceptional along with the Housekeeping staff. THEY were the ones that gave 10/10 service.

The hotel is clean, comfortable, and well-located in Midtown Manhattan. However, our stay was marred by several frustrating issues. Firstly, Expedia misinformed me about breakfast-inclusive rates, claiming it would cost more when the same nightly rate was actually available with breakfast. The front desk staff at Sofitel were polite but unhelpful and dismissive. When I raised the breakfast issue and the broken bedroom lights that shone directly in our eyes, they offered no solution. For six nights, both we (adults) and our children had to sleep with the bright lights on between the beds, making proper rest impossible. At checkout, they attempted to charge us for a double espresso we never consumed and did not apologize for the mistake. While the hotel itself is nice, the combination of misleading booking information, unresponsive staff, and billing errors significantly impacted our experience.

Excellent service from the doorstep to the accommodations. Really appreciated the (Elvis) doorman and luggage gentleman that helped us out and treated us with care and kindness he upon our departure asked our hired ride back to the airports cost to make sure we were being treated fairly …I truly appreciated that level of service to ask.

The beginning was not really good: dirty room (the floor) so I asked to change. Low level (not after the 7th) for my booking and it was not specified on my reservation with Expedia. Hopefully the staff was kind and professional.
